Microsoft has released optional cumulative update  KB5053657 (builds 22621.5126 and 22631.5126) for Windows 11 versions 22H2 and 23H2, which brings with it bug fixes and various improvements.

Windows Insiders in the Dev channel have started receiving Windows 11 builds with numbers 26200+, which belong to the ge_prerelease branch. Microsoft says that these builds will include behind-the-scenes changes to the operating system platform. These changes are likely related to the development of Windows 11 25H2 updates, which will be released in late 2025.

Microsoft is testing a new version of the Photos app (2025.11030.20006.0) for Windows 11 and Windows 10 Insiders, gradually rolling out features to more users over time. Web search by OCR-recognized text, quick access to AI-powered editing via File Explorer, new Copilot button, JXL support are among the changes in this update.

Microsoft has released a new preview Windows 11 (version 24H2)  build 26120.3585 (KB5053644) to Windows Insiders in the Beta channel. It adds much improved search on Copilot+ devices, and several quality and reliability improvements made to File Explorer, Settings, and login screen.

Microsoft has released a new preview of Windows 11 build 26200.5510 (KB5054148), to Windows Insiders in the Dev channel. The Dev channel has moved to builds with numbers 26200. This means that the ability to switch from the Dev channel to Beta will close after installing build 26200.5510. If you have not yet switched to the Beta channel, but want to do so, then when build 26200.5510 appears in the Windows Update Center, you can pause receiving updates, switch the channel, and resume updates.

This feature, currently hidden in the latest development builds of Windows 11, will provide answers to common questions about your system’s performance and compatibility.

Microsoft is releasing Windows 11 Build 26100.3624 (KB5053656) to Insiders in the Release Preview Channel on Windows 11, version 24H2 (Build 26100). This update includes all the changes introduced in build 26100.3613 along with a few additional changes for Copilot+ PCs with Snapdragon processors.

In its blog, Microsoft demonstrated the updated interface of the Xbox application, which will adapt to various devices, be it TVs, tablets or portable devices. In general, in this version, the application is more reminiscent of the interface of Xbox gaming consoles.

As you know, the official support for Windows 10 will conclude as early as October 2025. To prepare users for this change, the company is sending out emails to those still using Windows 10. While the email doesn't explicitly say it, the implication is clear: users may need to consider purchasing a new PC to continue receiving updates and support after 2025.

Microsoft is releasing Windows 11 Build 22635.5097 (KB5053648) to Insiders in the Beta Channel. This build will only apply to version 23H2, and is available Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel who did not upgrade to receiving updates based on Windows 11, version 24H2.
