Original Painted Pine Swedish Secretary, circa 1800-40

About the Item

Pine secretary crafted in the early 1800's in Sweden. Note the original gray painted finish (with green undertones) with red and blue accents as well. The original painted finish has been worn and scraped to reveal layers of colors including green, taupe and the natural pine patina below. The middle section is the traditional desk rests on two extending arms. The lower five drawers open using brass pulls. Desktop and upper cabinet each have a lock and key. This painted secretary is restored, solid/stable and ready to be used. It is built in two sections allowing for easier transportation and installation. All scratches, cracks, dings, and age related separation (back, drawer bottoms) are reflective of age/use and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this charming secretary. Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition, and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting all impact how item is viewed. Photos are part of item description, please ask questions or request additional photos of specific areas if needed.
