About the Item

A Ring from the period of my Grandmother's childhood in solid 18K Yellow Gold with a crown in Silver holding natural Cornflower / Light Blue Sapphire of oval diamond cut 10 mm x 7 mm x 3.33 mm / ca. 2.5 ct. Stone demonstrates two spectacular Nebulosa with thousands of peculiar micro-inclusions, silk, and color zoning. Light Blue Color, transparent stone - image 9 shows the texture of the finger's skin seen through the stone. Likely of Ceylon origin. Swedish hallmarks, 18K, Malmö, maker's GD&Co, date code H8 / hand-made in 1934. Size Ø 6.25 US / 16.71 mm. Sizing is possible. Weight: 1.7 grams. In finest used condition. Very secure setting. Stone with very minor wear to facets. Natural patina on Gold and Silver. > Most of the items that we sell are not new at all if not stated otherwise. Gemstones may often look differently in different light and weather conditions and time of the day, both indoors and outdoors. Stones of the rings photographed alone may look a bit differently when on hand because your finger makes the back side of the stone closed and light no longer can go through and the color becomes different. Stones with closed backs may seem darker than stones with open backs. Such nuances of color perception do not give any excuse to claim item to be not as described. Some buyers tried to make return of the items and to avoid paying shipping and restock expenses claimed that : " color is different from that on image .. " there are inclusions that I didn't notice " "it looks smaller than I expected" .. Unfortunately Internet sales do not allow us to see the items in person before we get them by post. Minor color deviations may be possible. CUSTOM WORK : About Resizing: Resizing of rings can be done on request.The work will be done by experienced professional jeweler. It is often difficult or impossible to get an accurate characteristics of the weight , color and nature of inclusions without removing the stones from the settings to be weighed and examined and doing that may damage the piece.
