434 is a long-format accelerator, providing select technology-driven, early-stage startups based in and around the Charlottesville area with nine months of program support, including:

      • access to over $50,000 in resources

COLLABORATE.

The 434 accelerator is a multi-stakeholder entrepreneurship initiative, thanks to support from the City of Charlottesville, the County of Albemarle, the Virginia Innovation Partnership Corporation, and private foundations.

Operated out of Venture Central, 434 leverages the resources of the wider Charlottesville and Virginia ecosystem to not only support the select set of high-potential startups in the accelerator program, but also be a catalyst for the community-at-large.

IMPACT.

To date, 434 has supported 30 startups led by over 60 founders. These teams have gone on to collectively create over 125 jobs and raise greater than $35,000,000 in capital and grants — a multiple approaching 60x the grant support provided through the program.
