Apple’s Co-Founder Steve Jobs Dies at 56
Apple Inc. has announced that the company's co-founder Steve Jobs, 56, died Wednesday.
“We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today,” the company said in a brief statement.
“Steve's brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve.”
Jobs was the driving force behind the Macintosh, iPad, iPhone and iPod, which ultimately changed the way people listen to music and videos, communicate with others and complete daily tasks.
He bought the Graphics Group in 1986 and renamed it Pixar.
Jobs was dedicated to ensuring the look of all Apple products were sleek, stylish and a step ahead of technology competitors.
