With its broad reach, the Alabama Cooperative Extension System’s Animal Science and Forages team works with new and beginning farmers, as well as those who are established in the industry. They provide research-based livestock and forage production recommendations that enhance on-farm efficiency and sustainability in the southeastern United States. The team focuses on the development and delivery of educational programs and demonstrations with farmers and ranchers to improve knowledge, awareness, and adoption of best management practices related to livestock and forage production systems.
