A special thanks to my friends at Wayfair for sponsoring today's post with a few gorgeous pieces and another special thank you to my friends at Sherwin-Williams for sponsoring today's post with the paint needed to complete this gorgeous project! All opinions are mine alone.
Nothing says, "Welcome home" more than a gorgeous entryway. When we first moved in, Chris and I weren't exactly sure how this whole space would turn out, because we weren't sure how we would need it to function.
After about six months of living in our house and figuring out what we truly needed out of this space, we decided to break it down into three sections. The first section includes an entry table and a mirror. The second section houses a bench for putting on your shoes & taking them off, and the third section is the most functional of all--a set of coat hooks.
I'll go through each section with you and share the gorgeous pieces that we've gotten from Wayfair + share the amazing paint colors we've used from Sherwin-Williams. If you haven't pieced it together, Wayfair & Sherwin-Williams are my two all-time favorite companies I've used to truly make our house a home.
Section One // The Entry Table
Our ENTRY TABLE is a gorgeous find from Wayfair. We have the White Marble/Walnut option, and I love the way it looks in our space. It's the perfect mix of modern & farmhouse. Wayfair has so many entry table options & you can check those out HERE!
On top of our entry table, we have a few decor essentials like coffee table books, candles, a vase filled with faux eucalyptus, and a clock! We mounted a black round mirror on the wall because you always need a mirror to check yourself before heading out the door! It's come in handy so many times.
On the shelf down below, we have a couple wood boxes stacked. I picked these up years ago at Michael's, and I've loved them ever since. The WHICKER BASKET is from Wayfair, and it's the perfect size for secretly storing shoes. If you have a pup, you could store their leash in there for a little secretive, yet gorgeous storage. For other basket storage options, check HERE.
I love seeing these accents as I first walk into our home or as I'm leaving. When you first walk into your home, you want to feel a sense of peace and organization, so what better way to achieve that than with a table with darling organized storage?!
As we keep looking down our entryway, you'll come to the wall next to our stairwell, which leads us to section number two of our entryway!
Section Two // The Tufted Bench
I have been crushing on this TUFTED BENCH for months! It's the perfect farmhouse mix for our entryway. It even leans slightly towards a Parisian farmhouse or modern cottage. I love how versatile the style is, and the best part--it was so easy to assemble! That's the one thing I really love about Wayfair's products--they are so easy to assemble and make a huge impact in your home.
For other benches like this one, check them out HERE!
Not only does a tufted wooden bench give such a homey vibe as you walk in, but it also allows your guests (and yourself!) to have a place to sit down to take off and put on your shoes. Before we had a bench in our entryway, we found people struggling to take off their shoes, and sitting on the stairwell to try and put them on. It looks & feels much classier to have seating for your guests!
Section Three // Coat Hooks
The coat hooks at first took me a little bit to get used to, mainly because I wasn't in love with the idea of seeing coat hooks as you first walk in the door. Our original plan was to put the coat hooks on the wall where the tufted bench is, but Chris had the brilliant idea to incorporate it into our board & batten that is in our stairwell.
We decided to extend the board and batten on to the wall where the hooks are, and I am obsessed with the way it turned out. I found the COAT HOOKS on Wayfair of course, and they are such an amazing quality!
You can also check out other coat hook styles HERE.
In the picture below you can really see the board & batten and how it really gives life to our stairwell. We have this gorgeous detail throughout both of our stairwells, and I am obsessed with the way it turned out.
If you're curious about how we do our board & batten, be sure to check out our FAMILY ROOM REVEAL where I share a step by step tutorial! It's such an easy DIY project and gives such a classy, upscale feel.
All in all, our entryway would not be what it is without the help from our friends at Wayfair AND Sherwin-Williams.
Our paint colors in this space are SHERWIN-WILLIAMS PURE WHITE SW 7005 for all of the board & batten and SHERWIN-WILLIAMS AGREEABLE GRAY SW 7029 throughout the wall space. Both paint colors we used in a satin finish. Pure White is the color closest to our builder's white trim, and we've used it on every floor of our house now! Agreeable Gray is starting to take over every floor as well, and I couldn't love it more. If you are ever looking for the perfect "greige" this is the one!
I hope you loved seeing a little bit more of our home! I can't wait to share more projects as we complete them.
