Bobby Bowden is recovering and feeling better after spending Thanksgiving in the hospital.

Bowden, 89, spent four days in a Tallahassee-area hospital, according to the Tallahassee Democrat.

He was admitted Thursday and released Sunday.

“I feel pretty good but a little weak — just not very strong,” Bowden told the Democrat on Monday. “I don’t have any aches or pains, so that’s good. The doctor told me to take it easy this week.”

The former Florida State coach admitted to catching some of the Seminoles' 41-14 loss to rival Florida while in the hospital.

“I watched it until I had seen enough,” Bowden said.

The loss marked the Seminoles' first losing season since 1976, which was Bowden’s first season at Florida State.

The Birmingham native coached at Florida State until 2009.
