Sol de Janeiro is known for Brazil-inspired body products that are as deliciously scented as they are moisturizing, like their famously top-selling "butt cream" (which is actually made for the whole body). But the brand has really outdone itself when it comes to both hydration and heavenly scents with its latest launch, Coco Cabana Cream.

Sol de Janeiro claims this formula is its most moisturizing body cream ever, promising an incredible 72 hours of moisture from just one application. It may sound like magic, but there's some pretty cool science behind the long-lasting effects: Fermented sugar acts as a humectant to hold onto the moisture it draws in literally from thin air. And the more often you use Coco Cabana (which I cannot type without hearing Barry Manilow's "Copacabana" in my head), the longer the hydration lasts. The brand recommends using it for at least three days in a row to get the most out of its irritation-soothing, redness-relieving benefits.

But even though it is intensely moisturizing and expertly protects skin from the elements, it's not at all heavy or smothering. As hinted at by the second part of Coco Cabana Cream's name, Moisture Magnet Oil-in-Water Body Cream, its texture is remarkably light. Sol de Janeiro says it "glides on and kisses the body with plush, pampering oils that melt into skin" and linger for a soft, dewy finish.

Just as delightful as how it feels is how it smells. Coco Cabana Cream's scent is like something out of delectable gourmand perfume, with top notes of caramel and coconut (coconut oil is one of the main ingredients), middle notes of toasted praline and marshmallow, and base notes of honey and warm vanilla latte. Needless to say, it's entirely understandable if you're caught continually petting and smelling your own arms after you apply it.

Coco Cabana Cream launches in three sizes today on soldejaneiro.com. The eight-ounce, travel, and purse sizes go for $45, $20, and $10 respectively. If for some strange reason you have the patience to wait to buy it until Christmas, that's when it drops at Sephora.
