Confession: Sophie Turner gives us major hair envy. The Game of Thrones actress is a natural blonde (and her hair color is gorgeous), but her red tresses, which she dyed for the role of Sansa Stark, are the stuff dreams are made of. From effortless side-braids, to elaborate updos, the actress has worn it all on the show, and has given us plenty of hairspiration to boot. Turner obviously has amazing hair, so it came as little surprise to us when we learned that haircare brand Wella Professionals tapped her as its first-ever global brand ambassador.

Given the fact that Turner's tresses are perpetually fleeky, and that we're huge GoT stans in general, we knew we had to ask her about this exciting partnership. Read on to find out how it all came about, Turner's favorite Wella products, and how she maintains that gorgeous red mane.

Why did you decide to partner up with Wella? Were you familiar with the brand before?

"My stylist has always used Wella on my hair, even on set at GoT, so it’s a brand I know very well. I decided to partner with Wella because I want to inspire others to express themselves through both their hair style and hair color the way I do. Hair is your most important accessory, so it’s important to feel confident expressing yourself."

Do you have a favorite Wella product?

"Yes! I love EIMI Perfect Me because it helps keep my hair smooth, natural-looking, shiny and protects it from heat. Heat protection is very important to me because my hair is always being touched and styled on set."

What's your favorite thing about your hair?

"I love that my hair color and style can transform my whole look. It allows me to be flexible and transform how I see myself and how everyone else sees me."

What's your least favorite thing about your hair?

"My hair is constantly being styled and touched-up, so I am very diligent about keeping it healthy and avoiding damage. I try not to blow dry my hair unless I'm in a rush (or working) and instead I’ll style it with clips or braids while it's wet in order to minimize heat damage. I love using Wella Oil Reflections Luminous Reboost Mask to replenish my hair and add extra shine."

I just read in an interview that you're naturally blonde. Which color do you prefer, blonde or red?

"Because my hair was dyed red for my very first job, I am really proud of that color and what it symbolizes for me as the start of my career. It was a bold change but I felt so empowered and so proud to be a redhead! On the flipside, blonde is my natural color so of course it’s fun to be back to my roots again. Hard to pick one over the other, though!"

Do you have to do anything special to maintain the red color?

"To maintain the color, my hair is dyed almost weekly on set so in between colorings I maintain it with Wella’s Brilliance Shampoo & Conditioner. It has crystal complex technology that keeps the color vibrant and my hair feeling soft, smooth, and shiny."

If you could trade hair with another cast member on GoT, who would it be?

"I would have to say Cersei. Her character undergoes so many hair style changes that are so edgy and she pulls them off really well."

When GoT is over, would you ever cut your hair short or do something crazy, like dye your hair green or rainbow-colored?

"I would love to dye my hair either completely gray or platinum!"
