Capcom revealed Acidic Glavenus, a subspecies of the Glavenus monster during their San Diego Comic-Con show. According to the devs, the creature has better control over its tail and special corrosive sulphuric acid with debuffing abilities.

Monster Hunter World will get its first major expansion named Iceborne later this year. The expansion will wrap up the story of Monster Hunter World and will also be the only expansion for the game.

It will introduce a ton of new content including a large new area, a whole story campaign set after the events of Monster Hunter: World and of course a bunch of new monsters for players to hunt.

Capcom have been revealing some of these monsters in the last few weeks and on their San Diego Comic-Con show, the publisher shared brand new gameplay of Acidic Glavenus, a new subspecies of Glavenus creature.

The gameplay shows a couple of combat sequences on two different locations and judging by the creatures moves, it will be one huge challenge even for the most skilled monster slayers.

Capcom also shared a couple of details about this particular subspecies. As the name suggests, the monster has a special corrosive sulphuric acid debuffing abilities and you might wanna pay attention to these if you want to keep your buffs intact.

Furthermore, Acidic Glavenus will have more control over its tail than the regular Galvenus creatures, which makes it an even more formidable opponent. You can see some of the combo attacks with the tail in the gameplay video. It will certainly require a lot of dodging and rolling.

Alongside Acidic Glavenus, players can also expect a lot of other subspecies. Some of these creatures include Shrieking Legiana subspecies, Banbaro, Beotodus, an elder dragon Velkhana, the Fulgur Anjanath subspecies and Ebony Odogaron subspecies.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will release worldwide for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 06 September 2019. The PC version will arrive later, during the winter months.
