    1) My top criticism of the phone is that I found it searching for corded landline telephones with caller ID. This phone only shows the phone number of the calling phone, not the text caller ID showing the name that's supposed to go with it. So it can be said to show caller ID in the same way cell phones do - except it doesn't have the advantage of a cell phone directory for associating names with phone numbers that you can program and store and transmit from cell phone to cell phone. And that miserable capability wasn't what I wanted (nor what I'm paying Quest to provide me with) when I went looking for a phone with "caller ID". Although many caller ID names are basically useless these days, many callers still have useful ones and that always make the difference whether I'm willing to answer a call or let it go to voice mail. So, no, the phone doesn't "have caller ID" and it shouldn't advertise that it does.

    2) The manual they send you is in Chinese on one side and a worthless English translation on the other. Obviously, rather than spend a few bucks to hire a real English speaking translator, they apparently had one of their tech guys try his hand at translating from a Chinese-to-English dictionary - or maybe just employed terrible Chinese-to-English translating software. (I think it's the tech guy because I actually have trouble believing any software could be this this bad!) The results are worthless for purposes of understanding how to configure the phone and, at times, absolutely comical. Here's an example (bizarre punctuation and refusal to employ upper case when one normally expect it reproduced faithfully):

    "3.3.2 rainfall distribution on 10-12 volume function:

    "volume + : press this button to enter the time bell volume + more, each time you press the 1, up to 3 files, hands-free pick machine press the volume + key, each time you press the add 1(double quote mark); Until the third gear, handle pick machine according to the volume +, 1, each time you press the up to 3 files"

    The whole manual is like that. It's a nightmare!
