These 100 Holy Basil Seeds (Ocimum Tenuiflorum) came from Germany. It was during the start of Covid19 period. The package came to us even during the lockdown. I really appreciate it, as I had ordered multiple other seeds from other companies but they were never delivered to us citing Covid19 lockdown. I started growing these Holy basil seeds during this lockdown. These seeds were of amazing quality. Though they are different from our Indian Tulsi (Holy Basil), in the sense that these grow to be a bushy plant. Its stems tend to bend downward after around 6 inches, so they need support to be held upward. Unlike Indian Tulsi which do not need any external support, its stems are strong and grow like a tree.
But the Tulsi seeds from Germany grow like a bush, new branches keep coming from the bottom portion if the plant. Its leaves size is also much bigger than Indian Tulsi. It took me few months to realize that they were not Indian Tulsi. Everything else is same. Its leaves shape and fragrance is exactly same.
I grew these plants for two years, until I got the Indian Tulsi seeds from a Temple near my place. If one wants to have lots of Tulsi leaves for using them in the kitchen for Tea etc. then they are certainly a best choice.
