I loved Action Man in the 70's. Then in the 1990's he went all Mardi-Gras and lip-gloss haha. Too camp and weird to be taken seriously by my own kids. This one doesn't have the heavy eye liner, eye-shadow and tattoo's like the Dr X generation Action Man. As a great alternative to Action Man this HM Forces British soldier carries an Army issue SA80 rifle. He has a serious look in his eye too. Perhaps he's up for compulsory redundancy.

Much better than Action Man -although I do agree with the review about the feet dropping off. Stick em on with a bit of glue.
My suggestion is Gordon Brown buys 20,000 of them and puts them around the plains of Afganistan. That way Al Queda will assume we have 20,000 re-enforcements. If he pays someone to occasionally move their arms and legs he could get away with the ruse for some time. Worst case senario Bin Larden will have to spend terrorist dollars on new binoculars as his men are unsure of the scale -we could score a double whammy if we then sell him binoculars that magnify these small figures to life size -then our troops could come home -I should work for the goverment as my ideas semm as good as theirs. We would need 2,000 litres of glue though for the feet as this may give the game away.

This is a well made, well designed product. Very life like and the detailing is good. The only issue is that unlike all the others this one has the helmet fixed to the head which means that you can't use the other playsets head gear.

This is not an Action Man. Very plastic. My Son was pleased as he wanted an Infantryman. Low quality product.

I think on the whole the figure is absolutely fantastic.
It took me back to my youth as I was a keen action-man collector/player of.
However, the only down side to the figures are the boots/footwear are to easily lost/drop off/out if not fixed on/in properly.
Which has caused a serious amount of upset! On the plus side they are excellent fun for my lad, as more of the range become available so does his interest in the toy(s)

Bought for a 5 year old boy who adores the solider, husband also likes it as it is accurate in its uniform and weapon. Action figure is sturdy and moves fully so can be used easily.
