Decent suction
The suction on this if applied to a nice and cleaned surface, is very solid.Instead of using this in a car however I decided to use this on some laminate underneath a shelf which allows me to easily prop my phone up or looking at it at any angle.The clamping system is quite easily used. There is a quick release button and then you simply just squeeze and push the two rubber padded connection posts onto your device. with a third plastic hard post.It holds an iPhone 12 in a OtterBox a very thick and heavy case so generally this will accept any phone you toss on it except from the most edging of "tablet" size phones you can find, and doesn't easily flex once tensioned in a fixed position.Overall the only thing that can be really improved on this is wireless charging and of course a metal-based manoeuvring joint ball, but at the cost this is sold at it's a fairly reasonable design with a nice amount of extension.

- Overall, the holder worked in any of the vents of my Accord. In my RAM truck, it works great in the driver-side left vent but interferes with the gear shift lever on the right side (any vent holder would).
- Mounting is very easy - make sure the holder is attached before mounting in the vent. A spring-loaded hook grabs the back of the vent blade, and an adjustment ring sets the tension to hold it firm. Set the phone in the cradle and just squeeze the side arms together to grab the phone, and it's set. Press the release and the side arms spread, releasing the phone.
- A bottom cradle allows the phone some up and down positioning to keep the side buttons open from the cradle. There was enough adjustment for any of the phones in our house - all Android, mostly Motorola.
- A cutout on the bottom cradle allows the phone to be powered without interfering with the mount. I use magnetic plugs and there's room for the plug to remain in the port.
- Soft rubber grabs the phone at all the contact points.
- The ball joint allows the phone to sit in portrait or landscape modes, or any orientation between.
- The mount can also be used for smaller GPS units.
Some comments...
- As with all vent mounts, there is a bit of jiggle on bumpier roads.
- As noted above, if your vehicle uses a column mounted gear-shift lever, it will likely interfere with the lever if mounted on the same side as the lever.
There are many options to choose from when looking for a vent phone holder. This one covers the necessary bases for me, is easy to use and provides flexibility for the types of phones it can support.

Overall material doesn’t seem flimsy and using it is easy. I needed to move it to another vent in the car and thought it would be hard to do since it stays on so well, but it was actually pretty easy to relocate it. Definitely recommend!

It is well made and the phone holder itself looks quite solid. The rubber backing that lines the front face of the holder will do a good job at helping to grab the back of your smart phone. The holder scales easily to accommodate all shapes and sizes of smart phones which I find to be a thoughtful smart design.
This phone holder does a good job at holding your phone in place well, works great over rough roads. My truck was getting a bit shaken around and I am happy to report that this phone holder did not fall off the vent nor did it drop the phone. These roads near me are not good, so to have a phone holder that can stand up to them and come out unscathed I have to give that product high marks for quality and good design.
