- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 October 2014The sequel to the See No Evil starts where the first film finished much like Halloween 2. In this movie Jacob's body is taken to the morgue where he comes back from the dead to kill a group of friends who are also at the morgue celebrating one of their friends birthday who works at the morgue.
This movie is a lot better than a lot of other slasher movies out there and has a great cast with Danielle Harris and Katherine Isabelle, who steals the show and also has the best scene when she gets to kiss Jacob Goodnight. There are a lot of fun scenes like this and some cool kills, some are off screen, but the ones we see are fun and gory, the kill using an electric saw is the best! This film focuses more on suspense than the first one which was all out gore.
The new look of Jacob is way better than what he looked like in the first movie and instead of just ripping eye balls out, in this one he uses lots of different autopsy weapons and has a pretty awesome looking knife for his main weapon.
The ending leaves the door open for See No Evil 3.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 July 2023The movie is good a very scary a good slasher movie of quality.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 October 2014Better cast & acting, better characters, well shot & to the point. Overall See No Evil 2 works, it is what it's supposed to be & that is a fun slasher & it doesn't try to be anything else. I am a fan of the first & did prefer some things in the first one, but with that being said See No Evil 2 had more to it with the acting alone. It's not brutal like the first but still works & gives us enough to stay entertained & the music in this really works a lot too. Not saying this film is perfect as it does have some issues, but it's much better than most straight to DVD releases & a lot of cinema releases too. With an 80 running time you can't go too wrong. Katharine Isabelle is the stand out with other good performances. Thoroughly enjoyable for a night in.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 August 2021Awsome film played by an awsome actor an an even more awsome wrestler also my favourite wrestler of all time the devil favourite demon the big red machine kane I even have him tattooed on my wrist love it
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 October 2014Never seen the first one it might have pushed me to the four stars if I did. If you like Halloween Films then this will be right up your alley. I do wish that some films end on a good note and not really and how on earth did he survive that? I sat there thinking why I knew one of these co-stars and yes it was Ginger out of Ginger Snaps. If your looking for a film that is curl up with the partner for a friday fright night then yes watch the film.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 February 2015Having seen the the first film I was tempted to see the sequel. Sequels not normally better then the original. I'm not a huge fan of slasher films but I did like the first. I was pleasantly surprised by the film. I found I cared about all the victims and wanted them to survive which is rare in this type of film. I won't go into more detail as it would include spoilers. Who would have thought WWE could produce something intelligent
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 March 2015Terrific sequel directed by the Twisted Twins. A party at the morgue turns into a fight for life as the body of Jacob Goodnight is brought in following the massacre from the first film. Glenn Jacobs embraces his villain role well, as you don't see him as his WWE character Kane - despite a few references.
Jacob finds his trusty meathook and the carnage begins!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 October 2014A truly fun slasher flick! Some good twists and turns. Katherine Issabelle was so funny in this! Loved Jacob's new mask and weapons. Cosplay next Halloween for sure! If you're into throwback slasher films it's great fun. Some great nod and winks to the slasher movies of old,

3.0 out of 5 stars LE TWISTED TWINS E IL COLLEZIONISTA DI OCCHI
Durata effettiva: 1h, 26m e 39s

5.0 out of 5 stars More Proof That The Horror Slasher Is Anything But Dead
The unusually long (8 years) gap between a movie and its first sequel hasn't hurt See No Evil 2 in the least. Featuring Glen 'Kane' Jacobs back in the role of chain-wielding, hulking slasher Jacob Goodnight, See No Evil 2 is actually a significant improvement over the original, which itself was a very fine horror movie despite a couple of flaws.
The eight-year gap doesn't exist in the movie itself, with events picking up just minutes or hours after the conclusion of the first one, with a dying Goodnight being rushed to the hospital before dying en route and eventually being delivered to the same morgue as the bodies of his previous victims. At the morgue, it's the middle of the night and virtually deserted, with one of the place's three graveyard shift workers, Amy (Danielle Harris of the Halloween movies and an impressive number of other horror films) ready to sign out for the night and head off to celebrate her birthday with a small gathering of friends. When news arrives of fresh bodies coming in, she scraps her plans, prompting her co-workers to conspire and call over a few of their mutual friends to have a smaller celebration after their work is done. It's only after the shipment comes in that they realize that what they've got there are the remains of a massacre, complete with the body of the killer himself.
Jacob Goodnight turns out to be not quite dead though, and after reviving and attacking two of the friends, proceeds to target anything else that moves. It's past midnight, down several floors underground in a labyrinth-like collection of rooms and corridors and autopsy chambers, with many of the secondary doors locked up for the night, and many of the chambers containing large numbers of diverse cutting instruments. It's hunting time.
The stalking and hiding and pursuit scenes, and the fact that the main group gets seperated into two smaller units, neither of which wants to leave without their friends, actually make it credible how Goodnight is able to corner his prey and cut off the few unlocked routes out of the morgue. It's also very much of a vicious cat-and-mouse game, with the killer on a couple of occasions seemingly slowing down his onslaught for a few moments just to let a seemingly doomed victim escape and stay alive for a few more minutes, thus prolonging the fun. Goodnight is a killing machine, but one that clearly relishes his work.
He also comes off as smarter and more powerful this time around. The look of the character has been modified, with Jacob using a burn victim's mask to cover his face (badly damaged in the previous movie) and incorporating a leather apron (of the kind worn by coroners during autopsies) as part of the makeshift binding for some of his other wounds (again, from the previous movie). He was an effective villain the first time, but here he comes closer to being a horror character that can actually be counted among the likes of Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers and company. An interesting sidenote is that the cast of Goodnight's actual or potential victims contains cast members that can be traced to all three of the 'Big 3'; Harris, as mentioned, appeared in several of the Halloween films, while Katherine Isabelle was in Freddy Vs. Jason. The movie itself is well made, with gruesomely believable special effects, a solid overall job on production, and good performances all round. Having made the second chapter of this series a notch above its predecessor, and having now established that Jacob Goodnight can come back from more than what was thrown at him in the first film, I see no reason there couldn't be a See No Evil 3. Hopefully it just won't take eight years this time.

5.0 out of 5 stars great performances by a relatively new cast
Move over Jamie Lee Curtis, Danielle Harris is the new SCREAM QUEEN! great performances by a relatively new cast! A must watch for any horror genre fan ( and fan of the original See No Evil film)! the storyline was questionable to start off, but once the blood started to shed, there was no going back! enjoy this film for what it is; a sequel with more blood, more guts and gross-outs than the original!
