Finally, after years of resistance, my partner has come around to the idea of wearing a hat for sun protection during the summer months. It's important for all of us to protect our skin and as we age, even moreso!Pros:• Lightweight material in a light colour• Great coverage, including head, ears, and neckCons:• The brim is a bit flimsy, but that's kind of the styleThis hat is incredibly lightweight, with a material that molds comfortably to the head. Despite lacking structural strength, it provides effective sun protection.We opted for a lovely light grey/beige color, which complements my partner's dark, long hair and helps keep him cool under the sun.The hat features a generous brim that shields well against the sun. It also comes with a drawstring strap to secure it under the chin, although we found the elastic drawstring on the back unnecessary as the hat fits well without it.You can also wash it easily (hand wash only) if it gets mucky.With some hot weather already experienced in the UK, it's reassuring to know that my partner will be well-protected this summer. I need to find one for myself now and we can be matching!

    Bought this secretly as thought my better half would complain about me buying an "old man hat", but took it on holiday to Tenerife, where it got used by all the family, including my wife!

    Lighter than any hat I've had previously, including a trekking hat for The North Face.

    Not cheap, but I'll probably have it for years, and may even get some other colours.

    Just a shame that I didn't get chance to need it back in the UK after holiday!

    Priced at £21 when reviewed, this looks to be an attractive fairly priced hat.

    The size I chose was a M/L, based on the size chart. My head size is 58cm, and with the adjustment provided at the rear, it is a great fit.

    It is a little disappointing that there is no small pocket included, as this is always handy to put a little money into, as with some other similar hats.

    The neck strap is a useful addition, and will prevent the hat blowing away in a gust of wind if worn! It is also removeable, although I tend to leave these on and simply tuck in into the hat when not needed, that way it is not lost!

    The fabric is nice, and feels comfortable against the skin, and I like the fact the hat can be easily folded up and popped into a back pack/shoulder bag without taking up any room. It also regains its shape well.

    The brim certainly is large enough to provide shade to your ears and face when worn, which is not always true of similar styles hats.

    All up I like this hat and it will become my first choice for this style when on holiday or days out to the beach etc.
