Been using this wheel for a while for GT3 sim racing. Sturdy wheel, form factor (shape & size) makes it a good fit for all series of racing, not too many buttons gives it a good balance of simplicity vs. functionality (for example toggling your HUD/MFD/dash). Decent bit of kit for sim racers at all levels or to make the step-up from entry level.

I ordered this Thrustmaster GT3 Ferrari wheel from Amazon, received it in time well delivered in time and comms. Item opened and packaging seemed decent on first glance. When I checked inside the box the packing looked worn and rushed or pushed and pinched. The plastic wrapper was not sealed and the instructions manual left loose in the box. When I looked at the wheel closely I could see the look of cleaning residue on the grips and the plastic on the back. This device required you to update the wheel base ( my case : T300RS GT - for PS5/4& PC ) to the latest version. Mine is set at V34 from July 2024. All my other TM products work with this wheel base T300, but this wheel did not! The flaw that I can see as the potential cause IMO - the wiring of the back of the motherboard to the steering wheel electrics board via a snap in place cable, this cable can only snap in one direction so was easy to ensure it was being placed in correctly. I checked the pins and could see with my eyes any damage to the pins. However this snap in place just didn't feel like it was snapped in place. It felt like it just sits in slightly snug, when the wheel base starts up on console or PC it calibrtes, spinning violently in both directions for short while. This spinning is most likely disconnecting the cable. So no power etc to the wheel. The buttons failed to work. Very annoying because I really wanted to start using this wheel and probably make this my priority main wheel. Now from what I can see the direction TM have gone with their product design their are making some poor decisions. I bet the returns rate are pretty bad for newer TM products. This might have been an isolated case. Not sure if this is a typical cm experience with this wheel. Be aware when buying products from Amazon when they say it's cheaper than everyone else but not stating if it's 'NEW' or used correctly.

Nachdem ich mir ein 488er Cockpit gebaut habe, war eine DIY Lösung für diesen Winter geplant.
Nach einigen Spoilern was da so im Herbst von TM käme, habe ich mir überlegt erst mal zu warten.
TM hats vorgestellt, ich las die technischen Daten und war schon vorab begeistert und die Vorbestellung an Amazon ging sofort raus.
Jetzt ist es hier und was soll ich sagen?
Es ist genau so wie beschrieben, die Details sind im Gegensatz zu anderen TM Lenkrädern sehr realitatsnah.
Sehr gute Haptik und Ergonomie der Tasten , Thumbswitches und Rotaries.
Alles ohne Probleme blind erreichbar. Man merkt eindeutig, daß Ferrari das seinerzeit für Profis entworfen hat.
Der D-Pad Stick hat im Gegensatz zu den TM-Sparcos eine mechanische Führung. Man kann da auch während der Fahrt exact die richtige Richtung wählen ohne das man in der Hitze des Gefechts Angst haben muß, etwas falsch auszuwählen.
Die Griffe sind genau richtig, nicht zu dick und nicht zu dünn und das Material fühlt sich auch ohne Handschuhe gut an.
Die Stahlfrontplatte des Lenkrades macht es sehr stabil und verwindungsfrei.
Das Carbon Design ist nur Optik. Falls es wirklich Carbon ist, dann eben nur eine paar Zehntel mm dicke Folie.
Eine 4mm Carbonplatte wäre natürlich schöner, würde aber auch den Preis ordentlich heben.
Wer sich ein funktionelles und nicht zu überladenes Wheel wünscht kommt also mM nach nicht an diesem Teil vorbei.
