Features
Ready for the Next Generation of Gaming
ASUS GeForce GTX graphics cards provide a powerful next-generation platform for the ultimate immersive virtual reality experience. ASUS graphics cards feature unique PCB designs, augmented by superior components and a world-class thermal solution, so you can game on, fully immersed in VR, without interruption.
Where Style Meets Performance
Featuring Aura RGB Lighting on both the shroud and backplate, ROG Strix graphics cards are capable of displaying millions of colors and up to six different effects for the perfect light show.
ASUS FanConnect
When gaming, GPU temperatures are often higher than CPU temps. However, chassis fans usually reference CPU temperatures only, which results in inefficient cooling of the system. For optimal thermal performance, ROG Strix graphics cards feature two 4-pin GPU-controlled headers that can be connected to system fans for targeted cooling.
DirectCU III with 0dB Fan Technology
Exclusive DirectCU III cooling technology features a trio of 0dB fans and direct-GPU contact heat-pipes that transport more heat away from the GPU and outperforms reference designs, achieving up to 30% cooler and 3X quieter operation.
ASUS Auto Extreme Technology
The ASUS exclusive Auto Extreme component assembly process removes the variables of a human production line and replaces it with the precision of a fully automated assembly system. The resulting graphics cards are more reliable than hand built alternatives.
Game Your Way
Redesigned with an intuitive, all-new UI, GPU Tweak II makes overclocking easier and more visual than ever, while still retaining advanced options for seasoned overclockers.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 1, 2017This Asus Strix 1070 (non-OG) is an absolute beast at 1440p. I came from an Asus DCU2 760. The 1070 plays most games I own at max settings, 1440p at 70-90 fps. I currently have Netflix going at 1080p and Space Engineers open on a planet at max settings. There are no stutters in my video and the game is getting a solid 80fps on the ground. This is with my fairly mild +180Mhz overclock on it, in game it's running at 1987Mhz. At 2Ghz my card seems to error after 30 minutes of gaming. Out of the box it runs at an impressive 1810Mhz.
I thought my DCU2 was quiet compared to my friend's previous cards, but the Strix takes the cake for silence. I can't hear it over my case fans while gaming, and the fans turn off unless the card is under a really heavy load.
The LED isn't gaudy, and I like the total control you have with the Aura software. The Aura software is a little jenky and could use RGB sliders or values, but it works well and has a few nifty modes. It would be cool to set custom colors for the temperature mode though. Most of the time my card is this ugly yellow-green since it never gets above 65C. This card runs too cool to make that LED mode pretty.
I was really into the EVGA FTW edition last generation, but this generation was plagued with issues and ugly cooler design (IMO, that is subjective). This led me to look at the Zotac Amp edition because it would look sleek in my case. When it came time to buy the Strix came down in price and I saw better pictures of it on PCPartPicker. The card is absolutely gorgeous. The black back plate with LEDs is really what sold me. Users see backplates more than the fans, so they should be pretty, the side of card is also very subtle and has a pleasing shape. It's just a much prettier looking card than the AMP (IMO).
It's really like the Tesla P100D of graphics cards, where my 760 was that tired old Civic. I'm happy with my purchase and recommend this card for the 10-series Nvidia buyers.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 8, 2017Upgraded from an MSI GAMING GeForce GTX 970 4GB OC DirectX 12 VR READY (GTX 970 GAMING 4G).
This card is a beast. The moment you open the box and hold the card in your hands, you can tell that it's a tank - great build quality, a lot of metal, and very heavy. I've worked with cards from MSI, Zotac, and Galaxy in the x60 and x70 variants of previous generations and this is definitely the highest quality GPU I've held.
I bought the non factory overclocked version because it was cheaper by 50 dollars at the time I purchased and I had planned on overclocking myself anyways.
Squeezed out a rock solid +200 on the core clock (which results in fluctuations from 2038-2088 Mhz from GPU Boost 3.0).
Tested it on GTA V and Witcher 3 for about an hour each to make sure temps were fine and was amazed by the performance and cooling of the three fans. Never went above 70 degrees F (room ambient temp was 70 degrees F as well) and was getting 50-65 fps on a 1440p monitor with all settings maxed out in both games.
Pros:
Backplate to support the card.
Low temperatures
Good overclocking
Silent when below a certain temp threshold
Great build quality
HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2
Only needs one 8 pin cable for power
Cons:
The bracket mount on my card was bent for whatever reason so I had to plier them back into shape.
Pretty large PCB so you probably won't be able to use smaller ITX and mATX cases.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2017PROS:
- RGB lighting, one color profile acts as a visual thermometer. (Green to Red based on internal temperature.)
- Stays VERY cool. my internal PC temps under load stay under 50C and the card core doesn't ever hit 60C.
- Easy to use, low profile software.
- Very fast, eats up 1080p.
- Enough overhead at 1080p for easy graphics output while recording with OBS or Xsplit.
- Works great for 144hz monitors at 1080p easily.
- Little to no sag in the card.
- Not too long.
CONS: None that I've run into.
EASILY the best aftermarket 1070 in my opinion.
NOTE: I'll be getting an HTC Vive soon and I'll update my review with VR capability.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 25, 2017The good:
- Card looks very slick. Big fan of the backplate's visuals.
- Not noticing any sag after a year.
- Only takes 1x8 pin for power
- Virtually silent when not in use (fans don't spin)
- Quiet under load until about 60-70% fan speed.
- For the overclock, I got it to +500 memory stable, +230 core clock stable. To be sure I don't get any crashes while gaming, I run it for general use at +450 and +212, respectively. Never had a crash. So under benchmarking it would hit about 4500mhz for the memory, and 2100mhz for the core clock. Not the best overclock possible, but a very good one for this card I believe.
The bad:
- RGB LED isn't that great. I set it to white and it looks REALLY purple. It has problems doing other colors such as orange. In the end I planned on leaving the LEDs off anyways, so not a huge deal. From reviews this is apparently hit or miss, but it never can do perfect white.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2017Exactly what I wanted, and ordered, this graphics card is a gaming dream! Everything from Battlefield 1, to Playerunkown's Battlegrounds, maximum graphics, and a nice smooth 80-120 FPS. I do not overclock my graphics card, nor do I feel the need to. The only challenge I have been able to throw this graphics card is streaming at max graphics in PUBG, which I think would be a RAM issue, if some one wants to correct me please do. Regardless, I am happy I did not over extend my budget for the 1080, because I feel it would of been a massive over kill in performance. The 1080 will last longer obviously, but if you are looking for a fair priced Graphics Card, that can give you the best games have to offer, this is the card for you! No regrets here, just good gaming!

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT CARD! WOW
I bought it before the CRAZY price increases!! it works GREAT! its not the BEST overclocker. I had it in an open air core p5 case. Its AMAZING for 1080P or 1440P but NOT for FULL 4k
Its a very durable card, served me VERY VERY well! but i cannot get the rates i want for FULL 4k.

5.0 out of 5 stars Never looked back
Great service from amazon for a good quality product. I had an issue with my first card with a dead port but they sent a replacement within a day. Card now works perfectly and can run (almost) any title maxed out on settings. The card also looks dead smart. I am running it on a 2560x1440p reso.

4.0 out of 5 stars Longer than I expected...
Whether or not that is what she said is another story entirely.
Right off the bat I was worried about it fitting in my case, especially with all the reviews noting its length. Worry without cause as it turned out, finally this hulking case of mine proved its worth and it fit with minimal trouble.
Pre-downloading the latest drivers, though common sense, also helped speed things along, had the machine back up and running better than new in about 15 to 20 minutes tops.
I'm still waiting on my new processing unit, but I would recommend this item if only for the speed at which I recieved it. The estimated delivery wasn't even due for another three days, after all.
Overall I'd give it four stars, short only by one star due to A, the length making me re-arrange some interior components of my computer, and B, because I can't give it five stars until I have the new processor installed to give it a real go. The fans are bloody quiet too, which is always a plus.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excelente tarjeta
