While I am happy with the purchase, the description is a bit off. The outer insulation is thick, but it is not very flexible. This does come with real copper, not CCA, so that is good. I have many extension cords and they are of high quality, though I paid much more for them. Even in sub freezing weather they are very flexible, plus I have had them for years.

I am installing 4 100 watt LED panels in my workshop. It is a rental and the walls are plywood, so I could not run romex internally and I will take these lights when I move. So, I needed some 16 gauge wiring and did not want to drive into town just to get some. I purchased this. I made 4 lengths, as the lights come only with a two foot extension, but no plug.

It is fall and these are very inexpensive, so the colder weather does make this less flexible. When I stripped the outer insulation; cut it halfway around with a folding razor blade, and bent it to see how much more I needed to slice, without cutting into the inner wires, it split at the cut. The nice thing is that I barely had to slice around the cable and snap it to get to the inner three wires. I had to do this seven times, as one line had the plug that came with it, so it made it quicker and I didn't have to worry about cutting into the inner wires.

To make a short story long, I am mounting everything to the walls, which will make for a quick removal. I would be hesitant to use this in really cold weather as it might be difficult to unravel. If it is going to be in a more permanent place or occasionally used, you can't beat the price. I would suggest snuggling it up to a warm fire before unraveling it in the deep of winter.
