    After i put the metal pole pieces together and rotated to lock, which is easy, I find this rod sturdy. I did a couple test downward pulls with some force and the rod stayed together, stayed straight. I've had this curtain rod for 2 months and have no complaints.

    I do NOT recommend this rod. It's described as adjustable, from 42" - 142". I've purchased many adjustable curtain rods and ALL of them twist to adjust, so if you have a specific width you need, it's super easy to twist to the length. These are SECTIONS of curtain rod, meaning you are locked into increments of width - in my case it was 15" sections and a small one of 8" in width. The rods are two inches shorter in width than where I want to be, but because of a time constraint, I had to make this work and have them shorter than the needed width. Save your money and buy a TRUE adjustable curtain rod.
