Easy setup, decent blades, oddly sized for garden use
A little bit of assembly is required to get the blades into the sickle. There's a little lever mechanism that locks the blade into place. It comes with a little carrying bag that has a side compartment to stow away the blades near the top.The blades are sharp enough to make cuts and can be sharpened further. However, mine appears to be rusting quickly, so care should be taken after use to keep it dry and may need oiling.Usage is awkward because the length and blade size is in between small handheld weeding sickles and the larger and taller field harvesting scythes. It's too long to go right up to the plant and cut, but too short to use while standing up. The curve on the blade doesn't do a great job of hooking grass bundles like a sickle nor slide mows like a scythe. It does ok for its size, but not great for either. The bend on the pole is intentional, but not enough to be useful. It just makes it look wrong.The bright blue and orange coloring makes it look like a toy. It is sharp and usable as a tool, but it's hard to get around the look of it.

I got this sickle for trimming my banana leaves and at first it was great, but I had it on my covered porch away from the rain and after three weeks the blades rusted. I would recommend to bring this inside if you live in a humid area.
