It does not fit the B&D mosquito lamp, but the seller contacted me to suggest that I removed a extra layer at the bottom of my lamp and it worked.

UPDATE: The bulb fits and it has been working fine for 3 months now. Initially, the bulb did not fit my B&D mosquito lamp. However, the seller reached out with helpful advice, recommending that I remove an additional layer from the bottom of my lamp. After following these instructions, the bulb fit perfectly.

Product description is misleading. Does not fit Bug Zapper it literally states it will.
These do not fit the Black and Decker BDPC958, moronic ad says to remove the plastic cover at the bottom. Yeah so the bulb can just fall out onto the ground and shatter if you bump it, the plastic cover is a two piece mechanism one piece secures the bulb the other holds all the dead bugs. Your bulb is 3+ inches out of spec. It is too long for the one item you advertise that it will fit. Misleading advertisement.

This bulb is not the correct size for the BDPC958 it is much to long.
