First - why do car manufacturers use these fasteners?!This kit is well rounded, it came with every single size needed for my German and Japanese cars. That's nice since I haven't been able to locate individual size sockets for a reasonable price. The case they come in is actually well made too, which is surprising these days. It has a metal hinge and a real clasp. That's good too since the set is rather heavy. It also comes with that crazy Tesla socket.I used these this past weekend to remove some motor mounts. My clearance there is somewhat tight and I needed to use a breaker bar with a good amount of dead-blow hammer strikes to get the old bolts loose. While this isn't an impact situation, it could easily damage other sockets. These did great. The fit was snug where my old (non-impact) set of bits was always a tiny bit loose. The less deep bevel on the lip of the socket gets more surface area in contact with the bolt, which is essential in high torque situations.Speaking of that bevel, it seems to be consistent across all but the EP20 socket where the bevel is a little steeper (less contact). In fact, my EP20 seems like it was made as either different version or at a whole different factory. The sidewall where the 1/2 ratchet goes is thinner. The finish is even slightly better on that one socket. I found this to be really odd, and it happens to be a common size in my application.Some people have mentioned that they couldn't read the size stamped on the sockets (except for the 26-32) but I had no problem at all. The stamp was done before the black coating, so it is black on black, but mine were deep enough to read on every single socket - and really easy on EP20.Overall I'm happy with the set. I really like having a separate box to keep them organized in since they are a specialty tool in most cases. I think they will last longer than I do, so I'm not too concerned with ever having to replace them. That being said, I have seen other sets at a lower price point. These end up being pretty expensive, but the longevity and versatility of them helps slightly in offsetting that negative.
