Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking a prescription drug. Acid reducers may interact with certain prescription drugs. Stop use and ask a doctor if: your heartburn continues or worsens; you need to take this product for more than 14 days. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. (1-800-222-1222)

Ingredients

Ingredients: Active ingredient (in each tablet): Famotidine 20 mg. Inactive ingredients: carnauba wax, colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polyvinyl alcohol, talc, and titanium dioxide.

Directions

Directions: adults and children 12 years and over: to relieve symptoms, swallow 1 tablet with a glass of water. Do not chew; to prevent symptoms, swallow 1 tablet with a glass of water at any time from 10 to 60 minutes before eating food or drinking beverages that cause heartburn; do not use more than 2 tablets in 24 hours. Children under 12 years: ask a doctor.

    I have had Heartburn for years. I can’t eat anything with a red sauce. To be honest I really eat very little. My mother said, my eating habits started when I was a Baby. They couldn’t get me to eat, a maid they had, was the only one I would eat from. My mother also said I was under weight. Through High School. I am 73 now, and still very little.     This antacid works pretty well. I have severe GERD and was prescribed Prilosec in the AMs and Zantac before bed, but I don't have the best insurance (or stable finances) so I had to stop getting the prescriptions. The product is very affordable here and although it doesn't work as well as the name brand stuff, it's good enough to where I don't have severe heartburn or indigestion each day. I take just one in the mornings and I'm usually good until the next day.
