A couple of handles broke off of 12 year old shades. One original was mishandled years ago and I broke another trying to take it off for some reason. I say don't try to remove a handle once snapped into place. They fit so tightly that they break when trying to pry them off. Got tired of closing the shades by grabbing the bottom rail without damaging the pleats. These replacements fit perfectly. There are different sizes and it took a bit of time to figure out which is right. There are factory labels on the tops of most shades with exact specifications. I believe my shades are 3/4" pleat, so study carefully before ordering. In the pic, the flat aluminum top edge of the bottom rail is exactly 3/8" deep. It's the part that the new handle snaps onto.
