    I use this ap about 3 times a week at bedtime. Turn on whatever you want to listen to for a while: audiobook, your music, white noise.

    Now open sleep timer and pick the length of time you want to countdown prior to your unit's shut down.

    The best thing about this ap is that it doesn't abruptly cut sound, it turns down the sound until you can't hear it. Less disruptive if you're drifting off to sleep. For that feature, I use this sleep timer rather than the one that's already built into some of my other aps.

    One bad thing (or maybe it's good, depending on your wants) is that if your device gives an audio alert when e-mails arrive, this ap does not silence that feature... you'll have to turn alerts off inside their own ap.

    That also means that the alarm clock still works in conjunction with the ap, which is good!

    One drawback is that if you want to set the sleep timer, then play a game for 5 minutes, the sleep timer will be deactivated. (Any time you open another ap after this one, the timer stops running.)

    Overall, pretty good. Would recommend.

    Aside from the fact the device should come with a sleep timer already built in, the timer app would pause as soon as I switched to the video app. After several attempts at trying to figure out how to use it, (no instructions included) got it to work on a 5 minute setting-- it simply froze the video on the screen. Rate it a 0 if possible. I like to watch movies in bed at night and more often than not, fall asleep before it's over. Looked everywhere for a solution to save battery and this was only option I could find. That said, it's absolutely useless for my needs. May work well for music on android phones.

    I really thought this would work like my TV sleep timer, it will stop the device but will not power it down. I was disappointed, I thought my device would shut completely off and save the power i had not used. I woke to find it drained almost completely down. Next time I will keep it plugged in.

    There is nothing wrong with the App per se, but what I bought it for was to work with my Kindle fire, What I wanted it to do was to work to turn off the kindle fire after an hour like the sleep timer on my ipod. The app turns the music off but does not turn off the Kindle. The sleep mode timer on my kindle puts the kindle to sleep but I wanted something that would turn my Kindle OFF. My Kindle fire is the first generation.

    Got this to use with my Kindle Fire and the Amazon Music App. It works great. I can also create my own custom times that can then be used easily over and over.

    I fell asleep two times listening to music only to find my Fire with a dead battery in the morning. This app, or something like it, should be built into the Amazon Music app. I'm usually very happy with Amazon but this certainly seems like an oversight on their part.

    I could never understand why Android doesn't have this kind of functionality built into it from the start... Although it kind of irks me a bit that I have to download a separate app to get the android to automatically shut down after a certain period (like when I want to fall asleep listening to music) at least this app is available, for free and it does the job.

    Although some individual apps do include a built in sleep timer, IMO, it's nice to have the ability to set a sleep timer in a central location rather than having to remember how each app does it.

    I just LOVE this App for my Amazon Fire. I left my Smart Phone at my friend's house and MUST HAVE my sleep sounds on at night connected to my Sleep Pillow.     Wir haben diese App heruntergeladen um beim Kindle Fire einen Timer zu bekommen, mit dem wir z.B. Amazon Unlimited nach einer definierten Zeit automatisch beenden lassen können. Besonders praktisch ist dies wenn unser Kleiner Abends noch ein Hörspiel hören möchte und wir aber möchten das das Abspielen nach einer bestimmten Zeit beendet wird.
    Man kann sogar eine eigene Liste mit TImern erstellen. Z.B. hat man dann eine Auswahl an Timern (05:00 Min, 10:00Min, etc)
    Großartige App, perfekte Ergänzung zu fehlenden Sleep Timern in so mancher App.
