    They look the part but terrible quality. I had the whole set biscuit barrel and bread bin and all of them have gone rusty on the bottom and around the lids. Avoid these - you are wasting your money.

    Much better than I expected. Air tight lids. Solid construction. Tea and coffee kept fresh. I don't know about the sugar because I don't take sugar in my tear or coffee, but I'd say it's a safe bet. I didn't find any issues with it.
