    This sour cream in the new favorite in our house. I grew up on american sour cream and my companion grew up on Salvadorian creama. This product is a great middle ground. It is creamy and more rich than typical american sour cream but not as rich as Salvadorian creama.

    AmazonFresh stopped carrying V&V Supremo brand and replaced it with this and it is NOT as good. I noticed the sour cream had an off-putting taste/consistency to it and I saw that instead of just being cream, it contains gelatin and none of the lactic cultures. This is basically a less sour American sour cream.

    We usually buy the Darigold Mexican style sour cream. Tried this as an alternative- it’s rather bland. I had to add vinegar, lemon juice and salt to bring it up to par.

    This definitely tastes different than American style sour cream. It is not as tangy, tastes smoother. It tastes sort of like sour cream that has butter mixed in. I prefer American style on tacos, etc. I tried using it to make beef stroganoff. It worked but was harder to blend in with the sauce. Obviously, it's a matter of taste. The only way to know is to try it--but, I do think it doesn't work as well in recipes.
