    i always wanted this guy but not the one we got but the one on the back of the package.it just looked fiercer and more threatening.it took them a while but i finally got my wish with this figure.the new sculpt,the subtle shading on the figure and his accessories as well as the illustration inspired alternate head,help to create a version of the ocean warlord you actually feel would be a threat to he-man and his pals.he never had any gimmick like a spring loaded fist or a torso that spinned but he has been one of the most beloved of skeletor's minions by fan support alone.sometimes that's all you need.this figure is an excellent tribute to this sea faring villain.

    Merman is my absolute favorite of all the motuc characters. I loved him as a kid. I loved him in the 200X version and I still love him.

    This figure looks nice with his seaweed shading and yellow armor. It was just like opening him 20 years ago.

    He comes with his original figure head, original packaging head, trident, sword, and armor.

    My complaints are:
    1) He should have two holding fist hands so he could hole the trident two handed or use both weapons.At least give him a removable hands if nothing else.
    The open hand looks odd but he if now the official toy shelf greeter. He looks as is he is waving.
    2) His armor needs something to hold it down. It flaps around because the neck hole is all that holds it down. The easy fix is to place one if the clear rubber bands from the packaging on his waist.

    As a bonus the sword does fit in the back of the armor.

    This figure is absolutely awesome! I really did not expect much from this character's figure on the MOTU classics line but I was just blown away by how great the details on this figure are :O The interchangeable heads are awesome on most MOTUCs but in Mer-Man is one of the tops; the face sculpt is really cool, his armor and trident are awesome, go for this figure right now!
