    Hat color is slightly brighter than the picture shows (cobalt blue) in a soft, brushed cotton twill material. The bill arrived with just the right bend and the hat is deep enough to sit well on my head. (I can't stand the shallow ones that stay perched on your head like a bird ready to fly off with a brisk breeze.) Adjustable via an antiqued brass colored buckle (no Velcro) and very comfortable wearing. I have another SAC hat that is a nice navy blue but the graphic on the excessively curved bill is over-the-top and no one who doesn't already know the SAC logo would be able to read the wording. This hat, I feel, is much more professional looking, bright but not in-your-face, and very well made. I still wish it had the tagline, "War is just a hobby," under the "Peace is our profession," <g> but a darn fine hat that's near perfect and one I'll be proud to wear.

    This is a beautiful hat. A little pricey, but it is made of great material and the stitching is awesome. It is all stitched - no patches. The SAC Emblem is embroidered on the hat along with all the wording and lettering. That is why it costs what it does - a lot of handling went into making this hat. My Pop is a cold war warrior and I cannot wait to give this to him as a birthday gift in October. To the Veterans running this business and who made the hat - THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART FOR DAD'S HAT !

    As an old SAC "missile muscle" (crew commander), I'm proud of my role keeping the umbrella over our brave land, sea, and air troops. I'm proud to support the SAC mission ("Peace is our profession"), and proud to help win the Cold War. Our military "team", despite human errors and political interference with the mission, accomplished its goal: to keep the world safe for democracy (and our Republic). I'm proud of our families for their support in often difficult times and places. Thanks, guys and gals, for your service.

    I am the court appointed guardian for a WWII vet. When we presented this hat to him, it was the most positive response we had seen from him in a few years. He was beyond thrilled. He called to workers who walked down the hall to "come see what they brought me!". Thank you so much for a quality product that could make one of our honored vets so very happy.     I already have the USAF version of this hat and am very happy with it. The SAC hat is very disappointing. The hat itself seems to be quality. 100% cotton. Stiff bill. Buckle adjustable for size in the back. It is all embroidered no ink or paint. The gold lettering is well done. The shield part of the SAC patch is colorful and well stiched. Direct!y under the shield there is a scroll that on real patches reads "strategic air command." On this second rate knockoff it reads nothing at all. They did not even do a good faith attempt to recreate the scroll. For me, at least, it destroys the whole hat. Its not worth the effort to return the hat but while I was looking forward to wearing it now it will just collect dust somewhere in my house. So the company now has a 50% rating with me. And I'm not certain I will take my chances on a third hat.
