The packages I received were frozen solid on arrival. The scallops are large, sweet, tender, mild and perfect in every way. They smell very fresh.
Make sure you get the scallops “dry” before you cook them. After thawing, I drain them on numerous paper towels and change the paper until it no longer gets wet. The texture and flavor will be best as a result.
As soon as my first order arrived I pan seared a few and made a lemon butter sauce. Kid you not, some of the best scallops I’ve ever eaten (besides dry packed). A couple of bags of these will stay in my freezer. An excellent product at a great price.
10/27/20 UPDATE: Placing my 3rd order. I now order 5 bags at a time, I eat these 2-3 times a week and, why not, they are priced to eat often!
3/29/21 UPDATE: I’m still ordering and loving these scallops. Pan seared some and drizzled them with a balsamic reduction, served next to a chilled pasta salad. Holy smokes!
9/20/21 UPDATE: still a loyal buyer. Just read an article on WebMD about scallops. They are extremely good for you on top of being delicious. Note to self: Eat. More. Scallops.
