- Reviewed in the United States on December 17, 2018Size: 12 Count (Pack of 1)Verified PurchaseAfter trying Silk’n Soft bamboo based toilet paper product, I can say it’s shockingly soft compared to the much cheaper Hill Country Fare 1000 sheet 1 ply toilet paper that I’ve been using for 3 years.
The attached photo compares the very thin 1 ply HCF to Silk’n Soft 3 ply bamboo based toilet paper. In the photo the HCF is thinner and darker. The Silk’n Soft is a brighter white and slightly thicker. Silk’n Soft is not thick. The quilting holds the layers together. I had no issues with the dry layers falling apart during use.
The second photo is the Silk’n Soft on top of the HCF to show the color difference.
The third photo shows how the paper tears easily when saturated with water for 30 seconds.
In personal use, the TP held up very well with zero tearing, lint, scratching or burning.
Some people switch TP to have less impact on the environment.
Other people are trying to stop using sandpaper TP.
Still others need a septic tank or RV friendly TP.
Some want to compost the paper.
For now I am satisfied that this TP performs as advertised and will update if I experience differently.
Thank you for taking the time to read this review. I hope you found information that helps in your decision making.

Images in this review - Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2016Ok, so lots of positive feedback here, and I am also giving two thumbs up!! I use alot of 'earth friendly' products...but this is just awesome!
The tissue isn't that fluffy quilted stuff (that also shreds easily). It is strong for what it needs to do, silky smooth texture and the softest of all the 'earth friendly' type of toilet tissues I have ever used...and the best part...NO COTTON LINT residue. I mean, none!! That alone would make me switch, but the fact it is all bamboo and is such a renewable resource and it is really soft...bonus!!
It also dissolves fine once it is in the water. So amazing balance between strength and still being easily flushable. I have 3 boys and they all approve of the switch also!
After going thru half a pack, I ordered 4 more packages! This needs to be on Auto Ship! :D
- Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2018Size: 12 Count (Pack of 1)Verified PurchaseI have been really trying not to use single use paper products. I have no problem with wood furniture and household items, but anything I can do to lessen my daily use is what I can do.
I used to be the Quilted Northern Soft and Strong user for a long time. I use a bidet and I need a toilet paper to hold up to that and still be soft.
I tried the brands at the coop, no luck: All too thin to be comfortable, and one kept falling apart, ugh. A friend posted on Facebook about these so I thought to give them a try.
Wow, they are the best I have found and are almost as puffy as the QN, but that doesn't matter. It is the feel.
If you are tired of deforestation, move to bamboo. Bamboos are a group of woody perennial evergreen plants in the true grass family Poaceae. The bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants in the world.
Update 10/23/18
Still really liking this bamboo tp. Once in a while the layers are not secure, but that is rare. I keep getting this over and over, highly recommended if you want to get away from using paper, use grass.
Update 03/23/19
Still going strong, it is funny to me that just one or up to three are in each package with the wacky end. Still think this is the best TP from grass.
UPdate July 1 2019
Sillk'n soft remade it and now it is like quilted northern more, the weird separation doesn't happen anymore, still soft and no trees! (I'll add a picture when I can)
Update: November 20 2019
See the pictures, old one had separation problems, and the new version .... I must have gotten a bad run as every roll has this strange poke out sides, and they look produced like that. IDK what happened in production but every roll in this new pack has this in the middle of each roll. I still love this TP, and will keep buying it. Just know that there are abnormalities in production but it is good and soft and sturdy. I still recommend.

Images in this review - Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2021Size: 12 Count (Pack of 1)Verified PurchaseI hoped to find a TP that would reduce my use of tree-based TP. This 3-ply roll doesn't look or feel that way, but it performs well enough. Very nice, soft feel, and no dust are the best qualities of this TP. If you're looking for an environmentally friendly option, I think this is a solid product.
My rating is 3 stars for two reasons. I've made the switch to using a bidet (I highly recommend it!), and the next step was to reduce my TP use, especially products made from trees. I find conventional TP still requires using several sheets to dry myself. Not as many as I used before having a bidet, but TP's flimsy nature didn't work well. This bamboo TP is absorbent, but it falls apart also. I'm not using any less TP. In fact, I use a couple more sheets than I do of the conventional TP. So, I'm saving a few trees, but I'm not benefiting from my experience or wallet.
If you don't use a bidet and have the environment a priority for your decision, go for it. I like this TP for that situation.
In my case, I'm going to look for a bamboo "towelette" that will make drying myself easier without as much effort or waste.

5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly good!
Size: 12 Count (Pack of 1)Verified PurchasePretty good product. It looks awfully thin and flimsy for 3-ply and rips very easily at the perforation marks, but is surprisingly strong and durable, and also soft. Feels nice, and hasn't torn on me yet or left behind lint and particles like other toilet paper does. The fact that it is eco friendly makes it an even bigger surprise that it's so good. I think I have found my new brand!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product
Size: 12 Count (Pack of 1)Verified PurchaseThis is a great product. I read some reviews saying the paper was hard to detach from the perforated edge....I'm not sure if Silk n' soft facilitated a product upgrade but out of the 4 packs I have bought so far I've had no issues. Also, the TP holder in the middle is not "thick" as I've read in other reviews (not that it at all has a bearing on the review) it is the same as regular TP so I'm not sure again if the company resolved an earlier customer concern.
It is environmentally friendly, does not irritate sensitive skin or leave little dust particles.
It's soft, sturdy and I feel overall better than other TP brands.
I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

4.0 out of 5 stars Thinner than expected for a 3-ply
Size: 12 Count (Pack of 1)Verified PurchaseIt is really soft but a bit thinner than I was expecting for a 3-ply. Also only 200 sheets for a double roll. Still a good product as I need the softer texture. Paper is too rough for my skin which is very sensitive to anything that touches it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible
Size: 12 Count (Pack of 1)Verified PurchaseI am sad to say if I could give less than one star, I would. I bought this brand as a substitute for the usual bamboo kind I buy, which was sold out. This one was MUCH more expensive, so I hoped that it would at least be good quality to make up for it. It is very frustratingly bad. Way too thin and breaks apart easily.

5.0 out of 5 stars The only bamboo TP I personally like
Size: 12 Count (Pack of 1)Verified PurchaseI was a Kirkland TP user for years (still LOVE it!) until I bought a house in the country and was informed that using Kirkland was a surefire way to clog my septic. So I did some research and found that bamboo TP was more biodegradable, so I ordered 3 readily available brands online and gave them all a try. Silk'n Soft was wonderful and the other two were awful. This stuff is soft, reasonably thick (I prefer thick TP), and strong - until it hits water - let's just say it does break down quickly, which is why I bought it in the first place (you can't have your cake AND eat it lol).
