If you love to watch movies and dont have Tubi app yet and then you are missing a ton of movies that most likely you never heard off or not on Netflix. The best part is it is Free. You dont even need to create an account! No free trials, nothing. Except there is a few advertising here and there (not a lot and just short ads) - but who cares? It is FREE! It works with Fire Stick, Fire Cube, Smart TV, smart phone, or even on your laptop/desktop. After i found this App. i must say i Fall in love. I’m really impressed with this app. The selection is pretty large for all the genres and it’s not super buggy which I encounter with even some of the paid apps. They leave the content on for a decent amount of time so if you have a lot of ones you want to watch you don’t have to worry about them being gone before you can.
I was hesitant to try this out, but I'm really glad I did. Writing this review because I am a huge horror movie fan and this movie has a *ton* of stuff, including movies that were previously available on Prime but which aren't any more.
In addition to the huge horror movie selection, it has some foreign movies and TV series and a lot of categories to peruse, though I haven't gone through most of it because it's almost Halloween and I'm trying to get my fix!
Basic information about the service itself:
- Absolutely zero registration is required at all. Without an account you just can't set parental controls, make watchlists or resume stopped video after you've exited it. Otherwise, no content is locked behind any paywall or accounts, which was mind-blowing to me in an age where everyone wants your phone number, e-mail, address and credit card number on file at any given moment.
- It is subsidized by commercials, but they're really not that invasive. I haven't even kept track (guess I should have), but they come up at a rate of *maybe* up to a minute and a half every 20 minutes, if that. It's free from my perspective, they're not too common, and it reminds me a little of television-lite - in some perverse way they're almost enjoyable and help break up the binge.
- The interface is really comfortable. I like that with my standard TV remote (I keep misplacing my Fire Stick remote, not gonna lie >_>) I can pull up the playback settings, enable Closed Captioning with three button presses, etc., and it's all really intuitive and right there in one spot.
We've read several of the reviews here - including the ones that garner the most attention. What they report is not inaccurate: there are commercials. But, I suspect the criticisms get paid more attention to and the other - positive - features get overlooked, and that is what prompted this review. Tubi has many older films that are hard, if not impossible, to find elsewhere. Many of the films are 'B' films but there are a lot of good films in that category! And, best of all, they are free. Yes, there are commercials. So what? I figure those commercials are bathroom break opportunities and, best of all, those commercials make it possible for this content to be available to me for free! So, unlike other reviewers, I don't mind 'paying' for the content by watching/listening/ignoring those commercials. Best of all, Tubi warns you when the commercials are approaching (so you can get set to run to the bathroom) and a timer remains in the corner of the screen so you know how much time is left to spend on commercials. So, for all these reasons, I don't mind the commercials, I welcome them. Because of those commercials, we get to watch a whole bunch of shows we wouldn't otherwise have access to. So, Thanks, Tubi! UPDATE Okay, so Tubi apparently makes our Fire Stick do weird things. We watch Tubi. Show ends. We then go to watch something on Prime and instead of showing the Prime show it jumps to Tubi! All by itself. And it happens repeatedly! Eventually it stops and we can watch the other show. Very strange. If it keeps happening, we might have to delete Tubi.....
I love Tubi; it fills in the gap when I am waiting for a new season of one of my favorite series on Prime or Netflix. I am not an avid movie watcher, so the age of the movies isn't important to me, nor the age of most of the other programs. There is quite a bit of material available, but I love a good long dramatic series with a lot of episodes ( many of the Korean dramas fill the bill, but there are lots of other good international productions here on Tubi !). I watch mostly from my Fire TV, and the quality of the video is great; the commercials are not very long and just do not bother me much, as I simply go into a temporary semi-fugue state and wait 'em out. The interface of Tubi is pretty simple and self-explanatory; the only real complaint I have is that although it was fairly easy to figure out in settings how to program my closed-captioning feature, I sometimes have to turn CC on and off again in between episodes of a program to get it to show up; not a biggie, but maybe that will be addressed in the future. Folks--it's free. That is worth a lot these days--and it is the best free program of its kind that I have tried; no buffering, easy to negotiate--and the video quality for me is terrific for what I have watched so far. I guess I'll stay with Tubi for awhile!

Likes:- Was easy to sign up for. Downloaded and signed up via Amazon Fire Stick. Good colour and sound and quality of picture. I investigated and found out what type of movies and TV productions were available and so I was not disappointed with what I have received. Many of the films tend to be B grade and/or old movies that probably would appeal to old movie film buffs and bring back memories to those of us who are getting on in years. The films are sorted into their genres which makes it easy to find what you are looking for. I found the adverts were played at reasonable intervals and only 1 or 2 at a time and therefore were not annoying ... Overall I enjoy searching through all the old movies and the B grade movies. I haven't found any modern day blockbusters yet and I am not expecting to find any but I knew that before I signed up. Not having to provide credit card details and pay a subscription are big pluses too ...
