Easy intro app for animation -- satisfied!
My eleven-year-old picked up on how to create on this app very quickly -- GIFs, small videos, and even just to sketch one-off images. Combined with other apps, it has proven its place on devices.Update: One year later (2020) and FlipaClip is still being used. The only thing is that line rendering doesn't auto-correct or smooth out like in other apps. Still nice though. I even made a little animation with it (see attached screenshot).

    Tbh, FlipaClip is a good animation app for beginners like me. But premium is 35 bucks a yr and that's just money hungry just for some brushes layers and stuff.The app it's self is awesome but all popular apps want money eventually. FlipaClip is easy for beginners and literally the only animation app I could find on my fire tablet. But c'mon, who's gonna pay 5 bucks a month just for some brushes layers and watermark removal?I mean some ppl might but not all people do like me.So in all, great app but premium is overpriced.

    First of all, this apps very existence is excellent for people who don't have access to animate on anything else, and its really taught me a lot. However, I have MANY issues with it.

    The biggest issue is this new plus or whatever. I have had premium for MANY years and its worked fine for me, but all of a sudden, it vanished, yes there's been bugs saying I don't have it but it usually fixes itself in a moment or two. But now Its gone. This has never happened before and I checked the help page with no luck. I don't know what happened but I guess they changed premium to plus to get extra money or something because it used to be a one time payment but now I have to pay again. This normally would be a minor inconvenience. But premium is a must have to be able to properly animate on this app. With only 3 layers and a time limit on animations it is a hassle to be able to animate something simple.

    Next gripe is the lack of materials we have. Now this app is mainly for beginners and it would slow everything down to add all of the big fancy brushes and stuff, but no magic wand tool? No add filter? And the few tools we have now are annoying and hard to use. I have seriously resorted other apps for coloring and shading just because its such a hassle. I'm aware that this app is for beginners to learn and get use to everything but when you want to make actual animations with color and shading and backgrounds it is so painfully hard to use. The only thing you can easily animate on here is a bouncing ball or something small.

    Another thing is the fact that the app basically forgets everything you've done before you've done. Its hard to explain so Ill use an example. So your working on something and you watch the animation over and realise you're not happy with it. So you go to fix it but uh oh! Looks like you accidentally drew the animation on a layer you didn't want to use. (Trust me this happens a lot) You shrug it off as a minor inconvenience until you go to the undo button and you can't do it. Its the same dark grey you would see on an empty frame with no history of drawing or lines or pictures or anything. Its like the drawing that's on the frame has always been there and you can't undo it. After a certain amount of time or a certain action it completely eliminates any possibility of you being able to undo the minor mistake you've made and you have to redraw the entire frame and a lot of times the entire animation. I'm not sure if its like this on other apps but it is too annoying of a bug to just leave.

    Maybe its just me over reacting or something but I have lost motivation to do things so many times because of these problems that should be easy to fix. Its probably fine on other versions like IOS or Android but kindle is so, so hard to use.

    I might just have to switch programs or something idk.
