Pina Colada Poison (Charlotte Gibson Mysteries Book 4) Kindle Edition

4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars 1,401 ratings

Charlie Gibson is the first port of call when Marion Hennessey, one of Hollywood's biggest stars, finds herself in trouble. Marion's yoga instructor has been murdered, but Marion herself was the intended target, and Charlie has to find the killer before they strike again.

The stakes are high as Charlie finds herself mired in the word of celebrity gossip. And she soon finds herself a new leading man as the gorgeous Rowan McLeod seems happy to help her in any way he can. However, the closer she gets to Rowan, the more questions Charlie seems to have regarding her relationship with Jake.

With help from Dot and Rosie, Charlie is confident she can find the killer and bring them to justice, even if it means doing yoga for once in her life. But Charlie soon finds herself in the killer's crosshairs. She has to get to the bottom of this, and fast, before she ends up in corpse pose—permanently.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really Liking This Series

I'm really enjoying this series! Some of the characters seriously exceed the usual "quirk factor", but the humor is delightful and the motives are plausible rather than ridiculously convoluted. The protagonist is likeable and is actually possessed of common sense, a trait not always present in Cozy Mysteries. When she gets into trouble it is NOT because she's once again decided (as too many cozy heroines do) to rush off on her own to confront a killer without telling a soul where she's going. The author also does not rely upon endless descriptions of wardrobe, accessories, menus, and pet antics to fill space, and I still have hopes for the romantic tensions to be well and realistically resolved. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

This is yet another consistent, high quality book in a great cozy mystery series. The plot is more complex, and the murderer caught me by surprise! Good fun!

Was an OK book. To me it dragged a little throughout the story. I feel the missing person was just added to pad up the story

I enjoyed this book. Charlie is a fun character and the two old ladies are a hoot. The snarky humor adds to the fun.
