    The positive side of this book is a "hands on" approach in which coding of concepts is done without recurring to MATLAB's communications Toolbox. This is fine and it really is better for a student to do it himself than to use somebody else's code.

    Having said that I find that it is too weak on theory supporting such coding (it does warn you about it being more practically than theoretically oriented) and it treats lightly or side skips carrier recovery and filtering.
