There is only one thing Katsumi Liqueur has on her mind — to leave this dreadful town as soon as possible, this place where she does not know anyone and has no friends. But she soon faces serious obstacles as the Attacked Mystification Police (AMP) insists on recruiting her for their organization.

Wandering aimlessly through the streets of Tokyo, she crosses paths with Saiko Yuki whose fate appears to be intertwined with hers. The mysterious past of both women seems to be linked to Tokyo Bay Bridge... a bridge Katsumi has seen in her dreams.

Note: This sequel continues the time line of the flashback section of the first movie (Katsumi's initial contact with the AMP), using some more ideas and characters from the manga, and being slightly less incompatible to the Silent Mobius TV series from 1998.

The plot concerns womanising rock idol Koji Nanjo (tall, long blonde hair), who has just been re-united with the person he fell madly in love with six years ago on sight, Takuto Izumi (shorter, brown hair). Unfortunately, Koji had been informed that Izumi was a girl, when the truth is that he's a boy, and a hostile, emotionally scarred boy at that. Naturally Koji is rather confused and it takes him a long time to come to terms with his feelings for Izumi. It takes Izumi longer still, partly because he is unsure of what he wants and partly because he doesn't want to fall in love with anyone, let alone Koji, who he initially dislikes intensely. Even when they finally do reach some kind of understanding, there are other problems to deal with, such as Koji's older brothers Hirose and Akihito, who are determined to split them up. Even those who do support them, including the insufferably cheerful Katsumi Shibuya, Koji's best friend and Koji's permanently anxious manager Toshiyuki Takasaka, cannot always be trusted to stay out of their affairs...

Chameleon is an exaggerated and often bizarre look at gang life in Japanese schools, focusing on a shrimpy little goon named Yazawa with dreams of being a badass gangsta'. Of course, since this is Japan, being a badass gangsta' involves tricking out your scooter and beating up on other gangs with golf clubs. I guess these kids just want to impress the Yakuza, who use many similar tactics (at least, according to anime. And anime's always right, isn't it?).

Of course, since Yazawa is small, weak, and generally completely lacking in any social grace whatsoever, the gangs won't have him as one of their own. He's picked on and harrassed as much as everyone else-- at first, anyway. The thing that Yazawa's enemies never seem to realize about him is that he's a man with absolutely nothing to lose. This makes him incredibly dangerous, in spite of his diminutive stature-- if he's angry or humiliated enough, then by hook or by crook, he'll make his antagonizers eat turd.

The story revolves around a group of five magicians who set out to rebuild their world after a rampaging God destroys it and tips it into chaos. Driven by their leader Dark Schneider, Gara, Arshes Nei, Abigail and Kall Su set out to conquer kingdoms in the hope of rebuilding them into utopias, with each of the magicians having their own personal agenda in doing so. However, Dark Schneider's often reckless manner and short temper leads him to wreak havoc where ever he goes. He is trapped by a group of clerics in a baby boy, leaving the four without a leader.

Fifteen years later, the four still continue their quest but their motives have changed to despotic world domination, and it is up to Dark Schneider to show them the "error of their ways", when he is freed by the clerics who once imprisoned him, so that he may defend them against his former comrades. It has now become Dark Schneider's responsibility to track down each one of his companions and set them on the right path again, but what seems to be the once reckless and amoral Dark Schneider has changed over his fifteen year imprisonment within the boy, Lucien Renlen.
