Naw he's too soft and unlogical. He'd lose at chest for sure XD Also he's way too much in control contrary to Lelouch who seems to be playing in the hands of the enemy forever.
The thing similar is the what istartac said(the ending)
but no its really diffrent
Lelouch plans evrythingm,he(We dont know his real name) plans a little
Lelouch push himself back from his friends,he tries to please his friends
and many more
They are both great and make you think about a lot of things if thats what you meant
They're both similar in the way that they control their surroundings. Lelouch has absolute order power and the Knights of Zero at his disposal.
While he as a selecao has something alike to absolute order, or even better, at his disposal his janitor. She 'cleans' everything up for him.
...Well, aside from the fact that Eden of the East is sort of a unique mystery anime while Code Geass R2 was a mishmash combination of too many known shows and genres, apart from the fact that Eden of the East suffered somewhat from a lack of characterization in a mostly realistic cast while Code Geass R2 devoted way too much time to a cast of drama queens that I mostly wanted to murder with a heavy oar to the face, apart from the fact that Eden of the East has one story while Code Geass R2 seemed to have fifteen and never giving enough attention to any one of them, and that you can't, at present, say how Eden of the East ended...
I suppose.... No, no I really can't say I see the similarity.
For one thing, the Selecao were intended to be the chess pieces that would use their powers to change Japan from the get-go, up until Akira changed all the rules. Lelouch got a special power and decided to use it against an unjust world, more like Light Yagami. Well, except that Lelouch was more a poorly motivated byronic hero than a raving sociopath, but my point stands.
It was very well made and really, you have to take Eden of the East for what it is. A story filled with suspense and Neets, good character interactions and interesting mobile, technology concepts that flows well enough to keep the viewer glued.
Despite some questions and a few aspects such as the Eden phone system not very in depth as such or the Johnny Hunter not playing much of a role in the story, it was still great as a short series.
I too like Code Geass R2 but not as much as Eden of the East. I felt Code Geass was a bit more cheesy and annoying in terms of story, characters and basic concepts/ideals while Eden of the East was much more tolerable for me, whilst maintaining a good level of interest in production.
