Gotta agree.... miko, no memories, strange girl, swordsman, good guys fooled by bad guy all along.... all so cliche and lacking any innovation... 
Pretty much a "standard" anime.

I tried this show waaay back in 07 when it was airing. and ended up stalling it after a few eps.

This year I'm trying to wipe out a lot of my stalled stuff so I revisited this. I didn't really think it was a bad show at all. While I do agree that its quite cliched and I've seen this story done plenty of times I ate it up again.

I liked some of the characters. I particularly grew more of a fancy to this in its 2nd half. I think the idea of Wizards and Magic fleets fighting demons in space was kind of cool and I personally haven't seen too much stuff of that sort yet.

I dunno.... Saving the world with the power of friendship never seems to get old for me. I can still enjoy these stories as long as enough of the other factors are good enough which seemed to be the case this time. Definitely not amazing or anything but overall I enjoyed it, particularly the 2nd half. The first half bordered on mediocre.

11 eyes is also quite a trainwreck, but it's still 21162316846123418 times better than this one.
