Well, yes he is but that really isn't saying much for the studio as a whole, what with Luluco being the last thing he had a major hand in.....

Well its not like he pushed out major titles regularly. I hope he is working another proper epic tale right now. Gurren Lagann, ( Panty & Stocking ) and Kill La Kill are the shows I watched and favored of him so far - and Gurren is now over a decade old.

That would be Promare, but who knows? It might turn out to be another Luluco....

Ah yes, I hope its a proper show, but another Luluco would at least entertain me still better than Darling Franxx so far

Watched all episodes:

Yea Yea I know am late to the party, which from the look of this comment section wasn't that big of a party anyway.

Well what to say about the show.................................................................................................it's good.

I really have no comments because...am not a fan of this type of shows, I mean the type that take no risks, the....for the lack of a better word, I would say the type of Disney-ish ? anime shows, the ones that make you go "yea that was good", but that's it, the ones where the story is predictable, the characters are developed smoothly...too smoothly for my taste, they behave like actual humans would, no over-the-top personalities, the drama is heart-warming (yuck!) where you know it's going to have a happy ending and everything is going to be just honky dori, zzzzzzzz.

I know it might sound weird, "So what ? you hate good shows now? get your crazy-ass some counseling", but really this isn't what I am looking for when I watch anime.

I do have a couple of issues with the show though, nitpicks at this point really, the first one is aimed at Trigger themselves, because I hate this thing they keep doing where they start their shows with a big and flashy way, and then dial the show down back to 1 for the rest of the series until the final episodes.

My 2nd issue comes with some weird elements they had in the show that went no where, for example what happens in the 2nd or 3rd episode (I don't remember), with Luna Nova's Tree of Life, the hell was that about ? I thought they introduced this because it's going to have some importance later on, but no...it's just that one episode and it's never mentioned again, it's freaking called the TREE OF LIFE of Luna Nova, and that's it, and also in the same freaking episode when Akko uses the a magic word to save the butterflies with the Seven Star Rod, or I at least thought that was one of the Seven Words, but no...it's just a normal magic spell, WTF ? I know it's a nitpick but it really bothered me because the staff shined like it does when a word is spoken, in fact I thought Akko can only use the staff to cast one of the Seven words and that's it, that's why she has a normal staff with her while also having the Seven Star staff, I don't remember her using the staff to cast anything else other than the Seven words..but then again maybe she did..any one remember anything like that ?

Another nitpick where something didn't go anywhere, is with the Fountain of Polaris, they built this shit like Akko was going to come back to it and get the star powers from it, and they do show Akko getting better and growing as a witch through out the story, and I was waiting for the great power-up scene....but it NEVER CAME...the hell man, the funny thing she goes back to the Fountain of Polaris later on again, and still no power up.

Another one is, why are there only Witches exactly in this world of magic ? did I miss an explanation somewhere ? please someone help me If I did, because for the life of me I can't find one reason why they don't have wizards in this show ? why are only women using magic ? I mean come on, guys a born with a magic staff built into them and there are still no wizards in this world...is the Magic Power sexist in this world ? no wonder all the guys/men hate witches in this show.

The Men/guys in this world are crazy, they literally say things like "PFFT! magic ?! who needs that old crap, SCIENCE! is where it's AT, magic isn't that useful anyway"...the FUCK! am I the only one who thinks this is the dumbest plot element in this show, even if the power of magic is waning and even if you can only use it inside the school of Luna Nova, IT'S STILL FREAKING MAGIC, MAGIC THAT CREATES THINGS OUT OF NOTHING, FIX ANYTHING, and in one episode Diana or whatever her name is LITERALLY STOPPED AND REVERSED TIME! and the people of this world are still going "magic sucks man, what a lame thing to do", am I the only one who feels this just nonsense.

Who thought when they saw at Akko and Diana for the first time:
Sigh...Here we go again....

Yes it turns out it's not Exactly the same, but the image kinda stays in the back of your head throughout the whole show

Sigh...like I said these are all just nitpicks, the show is....fine, if you wanna wast time it's a passable time waster.

P.S: I almost forgot another nitpick I had, why the hell are some of the most secret and powerful stuff in Magic written in freaking Trading Cards, stuff that even Diana who is a genius didn't know ? you just buy a trading card in a shop and you find out it says "To bring on Armageddon cast this spell" and it actually has the damn spell.... or something like "if you want great and amazing power, go to this fountain" AND IT'S TRUE, and not only that but she just opens a book in her room that show exactly where to find this legendary fountain that bestows Star Power...why the hell isn't anyone else going to this fountain, wouldn't you want everyone to try and see if they'll get the power ? instead it's in an abandoned and broken down building..argh my head.

P.S.S: And another thing, You can bring back the dead like nothing in this world ?....yea I know the guy didn't have his memories at the start but he got them back..and there was no bad side-effect for the person who brings the person back ? yea you can argue about the problems of bring bad people or whatever, but still....YOU CAN BRING BACK PEOPLE from the dead...fuck me..

So. The important question. The only thing I want to know: How does this compare to the two movies (both of which I watched when they were new, and both of which I enjoyed)?

More of the same I would say. More slice of life in the TV-Anime I would also say. It's been a while the last time I watched them. I liked the first Movie overall, second not really and the Anime was okay ( in my book ).

Little Witch Academia - 05/10
Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade - 04/10
Little Witch Academia (TV) - 05/10

LWA is pretty much the only show by Trigger I've been able to watch fully, but I don't think I'll return if a second season is done. Over all felt they were "average" at best and mediocre to bad at worse.

Tvs is much better than movies imo 😁

Much more detailed, easy to understand background/past. Characters have more depth and development, especially Diana 🥰, friendship at the end feel more powerful and worth it than enchanted parade.

And it has a robot episode too :v
