posted on by Karen Ressler
HIDIVE announced on Tuesday that it will begin streaming the English dub of The Seven Heavenly Virtues on October 16 in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Ireland and other territories. The streaming service will add additional episodes weekly on Tuesdays.
Sentai Filmworks will release the complete television anime and two original video anime episodes on Blu-ray Disc on October 16.
The anime premiered in January and ran for 10 five-minute episodes, with two additional episodes that shipped with the Blu-ray Disc and DVDs in Japan.
In the show's story, the "Seven Mortal Sins," demons from hell, have pressed forward and have started to spread their plague. Heaven is in chaos, and the angels of the "Seven Heavenly Virtues" are sent to Earth to search for a candidate to become the "true messiah."
Shinji Ishihira (Fairy Tail, Log Horizon, Heybot!) is directing the anime at the studio Bridge. Niθ is credited with the original character designs, and Masanori Iizuka (animation director for Dog Days, Fairy Tail) is the character designer, prop designer, and chief animation director. Yousei Teikoku performed the anime's theme song "Psychomachia."
