Theia is the elder daughter of Uranus , father of the heavens above, and Gaea, mother earth. Theia is one of the twelve Titan deities who fought against the Olympians, thus ending the era of the Titanomachy and giving way to the rule of the Olympians. The Titans were the children of Uranus and Gaea and their descendants. At Gaea’s command, the Titans devised a plan to overthrow their father Uranus. After succeeding, Cronus was appointed the new ruler. Soon Cronus’s son, Zeus, rebelled against him, thus starting a ten-year war known as the Titanomachy. This war was fought between the older Titans and the younger Olympians, with the Olympians eventually winning and gaining rule over the universe.
