With Apple Trade In, it’s easy to trade in your eligible device for credit or have it recycled for free.
Answer a few questions to get your estimated trade-in value. We’ll credit your payment method after we receive and evaluate your trade-in.
You’ll keep your trade-in device until you receive your new Apple Watch. We’ll send an email with instructions on how to drop off your trade-in device or schedule a courier pickup, as well as how to back up and transfer your data.
Once we receive your device, a team will inspect it and verify its condition. If everything checks out, your trade-in is complete. If your device doesn’t match the condition you described, you’ll receive an email with next steps.
If you paid in full and we confirm that the value of your trade-in was more than the cost of your new Apple Watch, you’ll receive an Apple Store Gift Card by email with the remaining amount.
If your device doesn’t qualify for trade-in credit, we’ll recycle it for free. Once you’ve completed your purchase, you’ll get an email with instructions on how to box up your old device and arrange shipping.

Actual value awarded is based on receipt of a qualifying device matching the description provided when estimate was made. In-store trade in requires presentation of a valid, government-issued photo ID. Offer may not be available in all stores. Online and in-store trade-in values may vary.
