Slovno v Mae designed by Raimer Bureau, themed “Laboratory in the Fields,” is a sensory exploration of nature and craftsmanship. The design supports seating for 12, featuring small, intimate tables that increase the patisserie’s cozy atmosphere.
The walls of the space are a standout feature, crafted from a textured mixture of eggshells and marble. Eggs, an essential component in desserts, influenced the design of the walls, adding a visual connection to the culinary process while maintaining a clean, minimalist look.
Slovno Patisserie attracts modern women who embrace individuality and creativity in their lives. These women confidently balance feminine and masculine elements, radiating intelligence and strength. They are drawn to authenticity and artistry, appreciating spaces and products that mix quality with thoughtful design. For them, inspiration lies in the details, and their pursuit of beauty extends beyond the surface.
A Design Inspired by Nature and Flavor
Integrating natural elements into the interior was a primary focus of the design, despite the challenges posed by the shopping center location. Benjamin ficus and dried oat plants were selected to evoke the feeling of a serene field. The oat plants, with their bell-shaped grains, increase the “Spice Research Laboratory” theme, adding texture and warmth to the space.
One of the most innovative aspects of the design is the spice box installation. Built into the columns, these boxes feature clear labeling and streamlined design. Each niche offers a different aroma or flavor connected to the patisserie’s creations.
Furniture and Features That Elevate Functionality
The centerpiece of the patisserie is its stainless-steel island, which doubles as a bar counter. Its clean lines and polished surface create a modern, structured aesthetic, while a Turkish marble base introduces earthy elegance. Glass flasks filled with colorful liquors form an eye-catching installation at the island’s center, illuminated with soft lighting. A vibrant yellow support base injects an unexpected dash of playfulness, energizing the space.
Furniture choices reflect a thoughtful approach to style and function. Chairs and tables selected for the project combine geometric precision and premium materials, aligning with the design’s functionalist philosophy. The tables feature poplar veneer, travertine, and stainless steel, showcasing unique textures that complement the space’s natural theme.
