that blends traditional & modern design
An Ahmedabad farmhouse
lush landscape
Crafted by Squelette design on the outskirts of Ahmedabad, this tranquil private retreat puts a modern twist on traditional 'pol' architecture.
keeping tradition alive
This custom-designed wooden jhoola was made from balusters salvaged from a demolished pol.
green identity
The plants chosen are native to the area and can flourish in all seasons.
eco chic
To reduce the carbon footprint, the materials for construction were chosen wisely. The walls are locally made bricks coated with textured lime, while the roof houses solar panels.
The interiors feature elements salvaged from an older home belonging to the client and from polhouses.
bespoke interiors
In the main bedroom the headboard design uses stone layers which are framed in wood.
rustic appeal
The living area connects with the courtyard at one end, and the deck on the other. The sofas and chairs were custom-made by Squelette design.
social setting
This gorgeous wall panel was painted in antique polish to match the centre table in the living area. The green pillar was found in a polhouse.
