2020 Audi A3 vs 2019 Audi A3

Serving Pembroke Pines, FL

The Audi A3 is a compact luxury sedan that has been manufactured since 1996. When this model was first introduced, it was built on the same platform as the Volkswagen Golf. The model now sits in its third generation, where it has been since the 2012 model year. The 2020 Audi A3 features a ‘Final Edition’ trim package, leading to speculation that this model will end with the third generation.

Performance

Audi elected to only make minimal changes to the available powertrain options for the Audi A3 between the 2019 and 2020 model years. Front-wheel-drive models come standard with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 184 horsepower. All-wheel-drive models operate with the same 2.0-liter engine but produce more power at 228 horsepower. There are also two available performance packages that come with a 288 horsepower or 394 horsepower. The base 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine options average about 26 city and 35 highway miles per gallon. Please note, these figures may change between the two model years. Appearance

As previously mentioned, the Audi A3 has shared the same platform as the Volkswagen Golf throughout most of this model’s existence. The Audi A3 is more appealing, cosmetically, than nearly any regular compact car model on the market, but not quite as attractive as some of its sibling models, such as the Audi A5. The interior design of the third-generation Audi A3 is sensational, as we’ve come to expect from all Audi models. The interior is well-built and designed with beautiful, soft-touch, high-end materials.

Features

Every Audi A3 in 2019 and 2020 comes standard with a rearview camera, parking sensors, and Audi Pre Sense, which includes a collision warning system, and automated emergency braking assistance. As you climb the trim hierarchy, new safety technology becomes available like adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assistance, and more. Some 2020 models also include keyless proximity entry with push-button start and ambient interior lighting.

Audi also offers a lot of comfort features with its A3 model. Every 2019 and 2020 Audi A3 comes standard with a panoramic sunroof and an MMI infotainment system that can be paired with a 7-inch, 9-inch, or 12.3-inch screen. Depending on the size of the screen you choose and which trim level you’re interested in, the infotainment system is compatible with smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite radio, Bluetooth, available premium sound options, and more.
