In Ayurveda, several dairy preparations have been in use for a long time. Milk is one of the sacred ingredients having medicinal effects on the body, especially your skin. Ayurveda considers milk pious since it not only beautifies the skin with oral application, but also provides absolute nourishment upon proper digestion. Here are the top beauty uses of milk:

Milk For Face & Skin

1. Milk Is A Potent Skin Cleanser.

No matter what skin type you have – dry, sensitive or oily, raw milk is an effective cleanser. It is ideal for daily use and can also be used in place of chemical based makeup removers. Kids can use milk for face and neck to wash off any impurities.

2. It Acts As A Moisturizer.

Does your skin feel too dry during winters or even otherwise? Try milk for face dryness! It benefits by preventing flakiness and preserving the natural moisture of your skin. The fat content in milk coats your skin to make it supple all day long.

3. It’s An All Skin Type Toner.

Milk for face as a toner is one of the best uses of this beauty ingredient. Milk is an all-rounder – cleanser, toner as well as moisturizer. Mix a few drops of lemon juice in raw milk and dab it on your neck and face. Leave on for 20 minutes. Wash off with normal water in case you have dry skin, and with lukewarm water if the your type is oily.

4. The Milk Benefits For Skin Include Anti-Aging.

With the passage of time, your skin tends to get loose and show the signs of aging (sometimes much ahead of time). But, regular uses of milk help boost your skin health. Raw milk benefits particularly reduce fine lines, wrinkles as well as sagging skin. Just apply it onto your skin and wash off after it dries up.

5. Raw Milk Benefits To Add Radiance & Glow.

Upon proper digestion, milk provides proper nourishment to the body. You can also externally pamper your skin – add some milk to warm bathing water along with some organic rose water (or petals) and some oats for a rejuvenating experience.

6. It Prevents Sun Damage.

Ayurveda recommends using raw milk to soothe severe sunburns and to remove the stubborn tan, all thanks to the presence of lactic acid. Soak a cotton ball in milk and turmeric to apply on the affected areas, or you can simply go for a milk bath!

7. Raw Milk Benefits To Facilitate Better Skin Healing.

Since whole milk is loaded with whey protein, it’s beneficial to accelerate better skin healing process. Uses of milk include treatment of skin allergies, scars, and even acute burns.

8. Milk For Face Inhibits Uneven Skin Tone.

Easily lighten and fix uneven skin tone with raw milk benefits – mix a pinch of turmeric powder with milk and some gram flour to prepare a thick paste. Apply it on the affected areas and treat hyperpigmentation, spots, freckles, as well as other skin disorders like melasma within a few months.
