Convincing colour results through colourations
New colour, new life! Reinvent yourself again and again with colourations and semi-permanent hair colours. Professional products nourish the hair in the same process and make sure that the result of a colour treatment is a long-lasting, radiant and glossy colour. Expressive, long lasting and brilliant colours spice up every head. In order to achieve professional results, professional hair colours are necessary. Professional hair colours are distinctively different to colours from the drugstore, as they nourish the hair deeper and also provide a longer lasting colour result.
If you want to jazz up your look, try adding exciting touches of colour through highlights, lowlights of baby lights. They create more contrast in the natural hair colour. Highlights mean that several strands of hair are lightened up several nuances, bringing new dynamics to the hair and a natural look. Lowlights are especially suited for lighter hair colours, as they provide the style with more depth and optically create more fullness. Placing baby lights is a way to emphasize certain parts of the hair through accents. Baby lights highlight hair strands along the contours of the face, in similar to what the hair of children looks like. Usually, their hair around the face is lighter than the rest of their hair.
Colouring techniques that create a very natural look are currently on trend and make highlights and lowlights more understated. Usually, only one or two lighter or darker nuances are used for those natural looking colouring techniques. Colorations are especially suitable for complete colour changes or 100% coverage of grey hair. The Koleston Perfect Line is a perfect example that makes sure that the colour results are brilliant and beautiful.
Latest Colouration Trends
Full head colourations result in permanent colour for all hair. Over time only the regrowth has to be coloured again, whereas the colour permanently stays in the lengths. For an especially gentle hair colour, semi-permanent colours are ideal, like Goldwell Colorance, which damage the hair less than permanent hair colours. Those semi-permanent colours wash out over time.
Freehand techniques are all the rage currently when it comes to full head colourations. One of those highly popular techniques is Ombré hair. Ombré hair creates a colour gradient in the hair, which usually starts with a darker colour at the crown. Starting around chin length, the hair is then coloured lighter all the way to the ends.
Balayage technique has already become a standard technique in France and now takes the rest of the world by storm. With this technique, strands of hair are coloured by hand, while omitting the roots. This creates intriguing and different colour effects, where the contrast is less stark than with an Ombré look. In order to better blend the colour difference of the roots and lengths, the hair that is framing the face is coloured more than the rest of the hair.
Another, more extreme, trend was started in the US – geode hair. This hair trend is inspired by precious stones like amethyst, which on the outside often look like regular stone. Only when you break them open, they reveal their beautiful colours. The technique is done in a similar fashion to Ombré hair while adding stronger colour accents underneath the top hair. Those accents are only visible when that part of the hair is lifted up and then the beautiful, vivid colours can shine.
