JANUARY 1 – SUITS *Complete Series*            

 	SUITS began when legendary hotshot lawyer Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) took a gamble by hiring Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), a brilliant, but unmotivated college dropout, as an associate at his prolific Manhattan law firm. Over several seasons, this dynamic duo along with Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres), Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman), Donna Paulsen (Sarah Rafferty), and Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle), became a family intertwined in one another’s triumphs and tribulations. All seven seasons of SUITS are available for streaming on Crave on Wednesday,  1. The series also begins airing on USA Network in Canada, beginning Jan. 1.


JANUARY 1 – THE TRAITORS UK *Season 3 Premiere*

 	The highly anticipated third season of THE TRAITORS UK begins streaming Wednesday, Jan. 1 at 4 p.m. ET. Claudia Winkleman returns as host, overseeing a group of civilians in the Scottish Highlands as they compete for a £120,000 ($152,000) cash prize. JANUARY 3 – RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE *Season 17 Premiere* 

 	Premiering Friday, Jan. 3 at 9:30 p.m. ET, the Emmy Award®-winning reality competition series RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE returns for Season 17 with 14 new queens vying for the title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar” and a cash prize of $200,000. This season also offers a shocking new twist, The Badonka Dunk Tank, that offers queens immunity from elimination. The star-studded lineup of guest judges for Season 17 includes Katy Perry, Doechii, Sandra Bernhard, Julia Schlaepfer, Paul W. JANUARY 8 – Vice’s DARK SIDE OF THE CAGE *Series Premiere*

 	From the critically acclaimed DARK SIDE franchise, Vice’s DARK SIDE OF THE CAGE premieres Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 10 p.m. ET. Cutting through the glamour and glory of the mixed martial arts (MMA) spectacle, DARK SIDE OF THE CAGE delves into MMA's most controversial and infamous stories, offering a range of exclusive interviews from legendary fighters such as former UFC Champions Georges St-Pierre, Randy Couture, and Chuck Liddell. The inaugural season feature’s episodes on the careers of Nick Diaz, Ronda Rousey, Kimbo Slice, Diego Sanchez, War Machine, and Evan Tanner. The series follows a weekly release schedule with new episodes streaming Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET. Additionally, Crave adds Season 3 of DARK SIDE OF THE 90s on Friday, Jan. 17, and Season 1 of DARK SIDE OF THE 2000s and DARK SIDE OF REALITY TV on Friday, Jan. 24.

JANUARY 25 – SATURDAY NIGHT *Movie Premiere* 

 	At 11:30 p.m. on October 11, 1975, a ferocious troupe of young comedians and writers changed television forever. SATURDAY NIGHT, which debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this year, follows the true story of what happened behind the scenes in the 90 minutes leading up to the first broadcast of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE. SATURDAY NIGHT is directed by Jason Reitman and features an ensemble cast, including Gabriel LaBelle, Rachel Sennott, Cory Michael Smith, Kaia Gerber, Lamorne Morris, Dylan O’Brien, Cooper Hoffman, Finn Wolfhard, Nicholas Braun, J.K. TORONTO (December 19, 2024) – Crave confirmed today a Season 2 order for its original comedy series, THE OFFICE MOVERS, which is set to go into production in 2025. Ranking as one of Crave’s Top 20 titles during its release weeks*, the announcement comes on the heels of a successful first season which concluded with the Saunders brothers (Jae and Trey Richards) making a big decision regarding an offer from moving company giant Zenithon, leaving them to ponder their next move.

 	IT ENDS WITH US, the first Colleen Hoover novel adapted for the big screen, tells the compelling story of Lily Bloom (Blake Lively), a woman who overcomes a traumatic childhood to embark on a new life in Boston and chase a lifelong dream of opening her own business.  	From the expansive universe of Dune, created by acclaimed author Frank Herbert, and set 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, the six-episode drama series DUNE: PROPHECY concludes with its epic finale on Sunday, Dec. 22 at 9 p.m. ET. The series follows two Harkonnen sisters (Emily Watson and Olivia Williams) as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit. DUNE: PROPHECY is inspired by the novel Sisterhood of Dune, written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.

DECEMBER 25 – TOP GUN: MAVERICK *Movie Premiere*

 	After more than 30 years of service as a top naval aviator, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot. TORONTO, December 18, 2024 – Bell Media announced today that it has made a commitment to Point Grey Pictures to develop and produce an original scripted television series from Point Grey and Lionsgate. The agreement was made through Lionsgate’s first-look television deal with Point Grey. As a company with roots in Canada, Point Grey will enhance its presence in the country through this agreement by producing its first scripted show for the Canadian market.

This comes as Point Grey and Lionsgate’s half-hour comedy The Studio is set to premiere on Apple TV+ in March. Point Grey is also behind TV and film projects including The Boys, Sausage Party, Good Boys, Neighbors, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise installment Mutant Mayhem, and many others.

TORONTO (December 17, 2024) – CTV Original crime-drama SIGHT UNSEEN returns for Season 2 as part of CTV’s Monday night lineup alongside 9-1-1: LONE STAR and RESCUE: HI-SURF, beginning Monday, Jan. 20 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CTV, CTV.ca, and the CTV app. Filmed in Vancouver, SIGHT UNSEEN consists of 10, one-hour episodes, and is inspired by co-creator Karen Troubetzkoy’s recurring experiences with sight loss and her relationship with her sister and co-creator, Nikolijne Troubetzkoy.

David Alan Grier’s cynical character Doctor Ron Leonard on the CTV sitcom ST. DENIS MEDICAL was asked a simple question: does he like his job?

“I used to,” Doctor Ron replied, somewhat enigmatically.

So, in a recent panel session with the main cast of ST. DENIS MEDICAL - which airs its first holiday episode on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 8 p.m. ET on CTV, CTV.ca, and the CTV app - Grier was asked to elaborate on Doctor Ron’s behalf. What is it that Doctor Ron used to love about his job, that just isn’t there any more?

“Well, I think he was a real crusader,” explained Grier, whose portrayal of Doctor Ron just earned him a Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. “I think Ron was like, ‘I am going to change medicine. I am going to change the way healthcare is given. I'm going to be a hero to these people and heal everyone.’ And he has broken down.”

And what led him along that path?

“In reality, doctors spend sometimes two-thirds of their time filling out forms, like a policeman,” Grier said. “You arrest somebody, then you have to go and write the police report for two days. And I just have seen that people who don't have any money are falling through the cracks, they don't get the same level of healthcare. Not to get too deep, but I think that's what has really broken him. You know, a doctor, a young doctor, they're gods. But he's a fallen guy. He's just, ‘whatever.’ He's like that teacher, you know, who says, ‘I'm going to teach all the kids how to read,’ and 20 years later, ‘I don't care.’ ”

At this point Grier realized that he was maybe sounding a bit too serious for a discussion about ST. DENIS MEDICAL, which is a very funny sitcom. So he quickly shouted with over-the-top comic enthusiasm, “thanks for the question!”

To be fair to Doctor Ron, he is not without caring for some of his colleagues, particularly Alex, the supervising nurse played by Allison Tolman. Ron is constantly pushing the workaholic Alex to go home and spend time with her own family, trying to assure her that the hospital isn’t going to fall apart if she leaves on time to attend her kid’s school play.

“Allison's character is like, ‘we can't leave or else everything will burn down,’ ” Grier said. “While my character is like, well … ”

“Let it burn,” Tolman chimed in. “I think my character cares too much, so I would say that Dr. Ron perhaps cares too little.”

Grier added, “honestly, I look at Allison's character more like the way that Doctor Ron was. Ron was a true believer. But he has also lost his family. His kids are kind of estranged. He lives alone eating TV dinners. I'm trying to help her not wind up like me, you know? So I think that I do have a much more paternal view of Allison’s character.”

And what about Joyce, the hospital administrator played by Wendi McLendon-Covey?

“Joyce is gone,” Grier said with a laugh. “Joyce and Ron knew each other when she was still a doctor, when we were young and impressionable. So I've seen her disease, as I say, her psychosis, as it developed from a tic. Now it is full blown. She just cares violently about the wrong things. Obsessive perhaps? Yes.”

On that very subject, McLendon-Covey was eager to talk about the holiday episode, which is titled “Ho-Ho-Hollo.”

“Our holiday episode is really good,” McLendon-Covey said. “It's a little bit silly, but Joyce is in competition with another hospital. They don't know that, nor do they care. She is, once again, putting her faith in things that are stupid, like, you know what? If we build up our Instagram following with a viral video, that's really going to put this hospital on the map. So we do this big production number, and it turned out so well.”

Hmmm, is that Wendi McLendon-Covey saying that, or her character Joyce saying that?
